Twolanerider had did one of the group buys on the hinges and passed me the contact info. Any body wants it hit me with a PM. And for Randy......I don't think there was ever a matching latch.  :bigcry:

Geez I wish it was just one.  I think it was five actually :bigcry: . 

If memory serves I mailed out about 350 sets of those hinges.  I had to have been nuts ??? !

Someone else did a a run after me.  Then I saw the hinges listed at EGlide Goodies.  Don't know if they're still there.  During all this the guy who made them (heluva nice guy) intermittently stopped and restarted production.  Last I'd heard he was done with them again.  But he'd been done with them a few times before so it's always worth checking.

The guys with the cop bikes loved these things.  The way their bags were hinged these were a real visual improvement for them.  A bunch of guys from the cop bike board contacted me or Dick over a period of a few years checking on their intermittent availability.  Actually went to ride with a few of those guys a couple times after one of them looked me up while passing through town.  We put on his hinges and I got a steak dinner!

Rumor is that Fire Marshall's are huge fans of chrome and clean and shine on Fire Trucks, but have no use for shiny chrome hinges on pretty motorcycles...   Go figure...   :nixweiss:

It goes deeper than that.... we just don't like KTP's on our bike... strictly a functional item and not a style item. ;) :D

There were never any matching latches. I put the HD ones on Sapphire. Yes they work with the electric locks. I actually like them. They are much easier to operate and look good to boot!!!!

MV will be a good time for sure. Just not sure what will be on the menu. But I PROMISE it will be KICKIN!!!!
