MRRA (Modifiers and Retrofiting Riders Anonymous)

Twolaner, could we get a new category started with the guidelines and beliefs for this 12 step program? Maybe group support there? Thinking a lot of us could use it....lol

David

ok, I'll give it a quick shot  ::)

We admit we are powerless over chrome, displacement and exhaust notes—that our lives are enriched while or wallets are minimized by the experience.

Came to believe that more power could restore us to sanity.

Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care and detailing of chrome and paint as our alter of understanding.

Made a searching and fearless inventory of the spare parts bin for chrome and go fast goodies; and promised to replenish them.

Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to our riding buddies the exact nature of our mods (unless this would give them an advantage).

Were entirely ready to remove bugs and all other defects of paint.

Humbly buy multitudinous waxing and cleaning products to remove these shortcomings.

Made a list of all persons we wished to ride with, and the women that were our secret fantasy BSRs, hoping to ride (with) them all.

Made direct amends to my motorcycle often for my shortcomings in its care, except when actually polishing or modifying then strive to so with injury or abuse.

Continued to take personal inventory, and when we saw more to do, promptly admitted it.

Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with the Road as we understand It, waiting only for the riding companion cast before us in shadow by the setting sun to lead our way home to recovery.

Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to Road-aholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

Might need to organize a local chapter....

You always have to share your name.  But you don't have to be honest about your engine mods.

Hello.  I'm Don.  I'm not a polish-aholic but I sometimes mod or change to excess.  I'm trying to be better.  But it's hard.

My name is Dan, and I don't detail my master after every ride.  :vrolijk27: :whip: :bigcry:

Don, you need to start collecting dues.  May I suggest 10% of each member's annual expenditures for mods, chrome, riding gear, and all CVO maintenance costs.

We need some secret handshakes and physical/mental tests for worthiness, too.  Maybe brand ourselves with red hot CVO emblems?

Hello, My name is HUBBARD, and I'm dually addicted.  I'm a "chromeaholic, and a horse-power junkie."  As it says in our literature:  "However intelligent we may have been in other respects, where chrome and horse-power were involved, we have been strangely insane."  There endeth the lesson.  Anybody got a schedule of meetings?  :nixweiss:  God knows, I need one!  8) Later--HUBBARD

Hello... My name is Mark.... and I am an addict.... I like to add chrome, change chrome for different chrome that I like better. I also like to change seats, handlebars, etc. for comfort. All chrome MUST be shiny at all times. My 103 must run good at all times and embarass bikes with stock 110 engines in them.

I think the first meeting should be at Maggie Valley this year unless you can't wait that long. In that case local meetings
need to be organized.  :huepfenlol2: :bananarock:
