The loud pipes saves lives crowd in many countries in Europe thought it was really cool to be heard. Well now in Sweden for example the law is that you can only have the OEM mufflers on your MC with the OE stamp. If you change your mufflers you will get a ticket and mandatory to change your pipes to OE pipes and then a mandatory vehichle inspection. They have locations with sound checks and are very serious about it.

There is the same discussion over here now because some don't care if they are to loud and can ruin it for all.

And I like to be able to have the choice and not be mandated to keep OE stuff.

I'm referring to your comments against the loud pipes. No biggy we all like different things I just hate seeing people get testy when they have a different opinion.

When I ride with a guy that prefers a quiet bike I let him in front of me.  Right Stu? ;)

Well Scandinavian countries are rated as the happiest countries in the world on some survey but they have some overly struck laws.

Scandinavian countries happiest my arse ( as they say in Australia !)

Western Australia has some of the best all year round riding weather NOW THAT'S "HAPPY"

"Olga and Helga" the Swedish / Norwegian / Danish backpackers all seem to agree haha..( thanks say all of us !)

Oh , but PC Plod still " gets the hump " from time to time over motorcycle noise....

Such is life...That's why we hang the stock mufflers in the shed "for later"
