I remember my stupid days... doing 160, 172, 190mph on a clear Saturday morning... but never on a bike...

I guess that  you learn to appreciate life as you have less of it left...

Back when I was young and stupid... 1985 I believe... I rode a Yamaha FJ1100 until the speedo pegged at 160 MPH, on a LONG FLAT Texas highway on a warm, sunny day. It was exhilarating, but when I think back on it, things happen so fast at that crazy speed, hitting a rock or anything could have been my doom.

I would never do anything like that now... But still, the memories are nice!

My wild oat days were a bit longer in the tooth for me (in my 40's instead of my 20's) as I purchased a 'busa and had it for a short while between HD's.  Very comfortable bike for a rocket.  Was clocked at 175 MPH....twice on a long stretch of deserted road and the fastest I'd ever been on two or four wheels.  It was not done at 175 but I sure was.  When I pulled a wheelie at 90 on Pellissippi Pkw by "accident"  ::) , I traded it in....just too much temptation to go fast and kill myself.  Sure was a fun bike, however.

This video just shows what folks will do to be famous (or infamous)....plus, day ain't got no branes!

It's amazing that MANY of us are still alive, given all the stupid chit so many of us have done!

passed a couple cars yesterday, looked down and saw 96 mph on the GPS and backed off.  :o  Then I told myself should have stuck on the throttle just another couple seconds to get the third digit.   ;D

Hate to admit to doing a lot of dumb things but there were 4 of us that used to stand on our seats and hold our arms out and see who cold go the longest without jumping back down on their seat. We did this on interstate 75 through Dayton Ohio.  We also used to bump handle bars at highway speeds. All this was with no helmets or brains lol.
