CVO's, what the bleep is up??????
« on: July 13, 2014, 08:35:35 AM »

Since I live in the edge of the NC Mountains, it is very common when I leave my house to see groups of 20+ heading up to the BRPkwy. This morning I was headed to town to get gas(you get an extra gallon if pumped before the sun hits the pavement). I could hear a group of scooters as I came to the main road. 23 bikes together, now for the shocker!! 17 of them were CVO's..................were you one? Hwy 64/90 east of Lenoir, NC.

Apparently the CVO is no longer special.
I guess that's what happens when the average touring bike is now almost 30k,
not such a big lap to a 35k cvo.

Thats mathematically incorrect. Not to argue but they have produced basically the same number of CVO's for a few years now but as the years go by, their continues to be more units in operation but not more "per year".

Not much special with a CVO. Thousands out there. I like mine but it's just another HD in lipstick.

I'm going to disagree here a bit. I am coming from a vivid black 09 SG that used to be really hard to find at biker events. I used to almost sit on other peoples bikes thinking they were mine. Yes there are plenty of CVO's out there but in the 2 years I have owned mine I have never mistaken someone else's for mine.

I hear yah. The CVO is of course limited compared to the rest of the HD fleet.

Never taken the wrong bike but once I was able to unlock and start the wrong car. Mine was two spaces down with a van in between. It was a 1980s something Saab 9000.
