Here a few pictures of derby cover and cam cover. Sorry for the flash. Now looking at the photos some of them look like it's red, and some look like it's orange. :nixweiss:

Thanks for the pics and you are right, but I think in person it looks like the same red as the pinstripe.  Question is what color should I choose for the new covers?  I am thinking orange as the red maybe too much red.  What do ya think?

Using orange may be a better choice unless it was possible to find out what the color/combination was used in the original scripting. It's weird how from different angles that script will look either red or orange. :confused5: I believe the original scripting isn't paint, but tape/emblem. I thinking this because I had mines peel off of the derby cover first time I washed my bike. The part that peeled off stayed together when it hit the ground and it had some elasticity to it like it was tape or emblem.

Sorry Brian #14, That wasn't me. I got sick & tired of riding around with flaked off script paint. So I had timer/derby covers replaced under warranty but never installed them. I'm now running aftermarket timer/derby covers for a different look.

I believe OTIS was talking about a paint marker that was close in color to the orange.
