Thanks Gary.  When the bike is parked at the shop rather than in the garage here at the house it usually sets right in front of those two old gas pumps.  Now that's a picture I need to get some day.  Turn on the lights in the pumps and that might look pretty cool  [smiley=apple.gif] .

I thought this gift my wife gave me was pretty cool. It's not a licensed H-D product but probably should be. The saddle type seat is very nicely done and it even has pneumatic suspension of added comfort. Makes the time I spend in the garage working on the SEUC a little more enjoyable.

Don, I was catching up and have to agree, great bunch of cars.

I have the same El Camino thoughts nagging at me all the time.  I learned to drive in a 64 Red El Camino with a 283.  I can tell and show you exactly where I made my first high speed pass in any vehicle.

I have passed it everyday for the last 21 years on my drive to work.  It was about 90 miles north of where I lived as a kid and one Sunday on the way home from White Rock or Burnaby or one of these Canadian ice arenas my dad let me drive.

Open highway and the first time I'd driven any real distance on the highway, made the pass and dang near hit the guy I passed when I went back to my lane on the twolane, I was so damn nervous and didn't have a clue about leaving any room etc.  

I know just what you mean about memories, cars fitting and time with dad.

WOW!  Nice cars!  I'm not much of a car buff.  I've always been into Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and trucks as long as they aren't made by GM.  I am partial Dodge, but that is only because my current flame is a diesel, and right now Dodge is the only manufacturer using a real, true diesel engine.  I used to own a 1982 Ford F100 with a 300cid I6 and a C6 tranny.  Great truck.  430K miles when I sold her and bought my Dodge 3500 4X4 Dually with a Cummins 5.9 diesel.    I'm just not convinced a V8 is the right architecture for a torque producing hauler.
A friend of mine just bought a 2004 Pontiac GTO off eBay.  It has been highly modified.  It has a supercharged LS402 Ironblock.  Very fast.  He had a stock 2004 GTO prior to it.  Pretty cool Christmas gift.

Definitely an open invitation Barry.  I just mentioned to JR in a PM a few days ago that with so many of you in the general environs of the Memphis area that I was going to have to make a road trip that way sometime in the spring.  But hey, maybe Memphis will come here  [smiley=drink.gif] ?
