Does the 113" have the piston slap and valve train noise equal to the 110" or is it by chance quieter.

If you are looking for a reputable MC shop with good engine skills, call RS Cycles in Surfside Beach SC and talk to Ron the owner about your needs.

When I lived there 10 years ago he did all my performance work

John Sachs is in your general area. I'd be getting together with him to handle the work if I lived in your area.

3mcam my engine is less noisy since I went to the 113 but I would think that is a case by case thing. I am really happy with the way the work was done as well as the end result. As someone else stated I ended up around 116hp and 125 tq. I was not and am not going to chase numbers just giving you some info. As far a fuel consumption the bike gets better mileage now than it did when stock, not sure if it is a result of the cam, compression increase, or what but it is a noticeable difference. I am not nearly anal enough to hand calculate mileage as no two tanks get burned in the same manner. Just decide what you want and do it, if you keep asking questions someone is going to convince you you need a new clutch or crank or whatever.  JMHO

;D  Truer words were never spoken or typed.  Give people on one of these forums enough time and some will try to convince you to replace everything but the derby and timer covers.

Probably the best advice I've seen so far is to find and consult with a real full time professional engine builder who just happens to have a stellar reputation.  Let him know what your goals are and what your financial constraints are, and let him offer proposals to meet your criteria.  IMHO the worst thing people do is read bike mags and bogus reviews and advertising claims and then start picking components based on those reviews and ads.

I agree with not being a follower and throwing parts at a motor. I just had my screaming eagle 110 dyno, stock motor with 2,700 miles, thunder header and screaming eagle breather and a TTS tunner. Im happy with 110hp and 130tq at 153mph to the rear wheel. Yeah it was a trick to get those numbers but it can be done. Every dyno and tech and motor is just a bit different

You're saying with only a pipe and tune you got 110hp - 130tq from a stock motor? Ahhh, I'd like to see the Dyno sheet and how the tuner's Dyno was calibrated because those numbers are beyond believable.  ???

Sorry skeeter, but a stock Harley 110 comes in at low 80's for horsepower on average, and some are in the high 70's.  And exhaust and tune won't give you or anyone else 30 horsepower.  Either your tuner is jerking your chain, or you're trying to jerk ours.  Or your definition of "stock" is bogus.  Those numbers look more like what Harley claims for the 110 upgrade kit with 259 cams, btw.

Yep you guys are right... They where jerking my chain big joke on me.. The true numbers are 101hp and 113tq. They said if i wanted 110hp and 118tq swap to 259 cams and pistons.
