But it's UGLY.
The only time you have to look at is when you're not riding... and unlike H-D's it sounds like you can ride it a lot more (at least w/o worrying about it breaking down or being in the shop and you have to look at it).... just sayin' :nixweiss: ;D

HDs look pretty ugly with the cases split sitting up on some overpriced mechanics bench somewhere.

I have a friend who bought a new Victory that blew up at 2100 miles. Had a hard time finding someone to work on it as he was on the road. He finally found a dealer but they wouldn't send a new engine just new parts to rebuild it. He got home and jumped back on his 48 Panhead.

Yeah I think $18,000 might get you a new striped down fat boy or deluxe.
And then when you meet a victory rider, doesn't it seem like he talks to you as if he knows something about motorcycles that you don't...or is that just my H-D interiority complex kicking in again??? :nixweiss:

My HD looks better then any Victory even when the motor is on the bench  :nixweiss:

Yes my Harley has problems, yes it PISSES ME OFF, and yes Harley needs to wake up! BUT, until someone makes a bike that has the Harley looks AND is reliable I am stuck. Victories paint and body lines on their baggers are HIDEOUS. If I signed up on their forums I am sure I could find plenty of issues on top of the ugliness. They also have way less aftermarket options and dealer locations.

Build me what is highlighted in bold, don't care who the manufacturer is, and I am going to be a loyal customer.

I looked long and hard at a Vic CCT prior to getting the 'CUSE7.  The thing rides great, it has a ton of power, the riding position is super comfortable, and there's a ton of room in the bags.  For the money it can't be beat.

Ahh.. so how/why did you end up owning the Harley?

Still beats Harley to hell lol

not really (on paper anyway).  its a standard 1 year warranty.  the additional 4 years is pretty much the same as an esp, only it covers powertrain only.  and i'm sure that you're paying for it somewhere, even though they say that it's included in the sales price.

the only reason that they are including them is because they're so ugly, people don't want to buy them without a price drop and a warranty incentive.....

but.... more power to them.  i hope hd feels the pressure and starts upping their quality.  though i must admit, in 12 years, and 7 harleys, (the wife rides her own), i have only had 1 warranty claim.  had an inner primary bearing go south on me.
