I'm glad as it makes mine all the more rare. I'm sure the moco was tired of dealing with the rust on the clear coated bare metal.
I've had so many issues, and they are continuing, that I've spent more time at the shop than riding. Latest issue fluid mist on the clutch and brake master cylinders.
The fluid hasn't made it to the new tank so far. at least I don't think so.
I've had the following issues just so everyone is aware and on a CVO no less:
Rear fender replaced twice (Rust under clear coat)
ABS shorted out due to improper routing of front wires.
Tank replaced, same issue as rear fender
Granite powder coat falling off under the engine (repaired with Harley spray can by dealer) they claimed corrosion but never tested it.
Chrome peeling off brake master cylinder (replaced under warranty)
Chrome peeling off rear wheel (replaced under warranty)
Factory oil dip stick cross threaded into tank (came that way and I replaced, at my cost with digital)
Appointment this Friday, Latest issue fluid mist on the clutch and brake master cylinders. EITMS not working correctly since fuel gauge flash.
The only good news is it runs great and is fairly quiet for a 110. BUT FOR HOW LONG!! only 6k on the odometer
two years old and riding time has been shortened due to the ever growing list of repairs. Factory warranty is up in November and then the ESP battle begins.
I need the brake and clutch issues documented just in case I have more paint issues with the tank.
I'm getting so I'm afraid to ride as what will break next.
Sorry for the rant, just needed to vent!

Mixed emotions. Glad they did not bring out another CVO Breakout for 2015 but I wonder why. Can't be paint issues because all they had to do is come up with a new paint job. The good news is it makes our bikes all the more rare and more valuable.

Agree on all your points, these are great bikes, nothing in the HD line up like them.

The big touring bikes are usually the only ones to see multiple years as a CVO model. The only exceptions to the Softail line up I've ever known about were the CVO Springer which ran from 2007-2009 and the CVO Convertible which ran from 2010-2012. All the other CVO Softail's have only run 2 years, CVO Deuce 2003-2004, CVO Fat Boy 2005-2006 and the CVO Breakout 2013-2014. I guess we'll have to see if the CVO Deluxe follows that same formula. The CVO's built on the Softail and Dyna chassis' are produced in much lower numbers and are therefore much rarer. Example: 2013 CVO Breakout production = Approx. 1900 units worldwide compared to the 2013 CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glide production = Approx. 3900 units worldwide.

FYI, chicago Harley has 3 cvo breakouts for sale. (One of each color). 3 cvo road kings as well. I guess neither one did well in our area. Surprised since I think they were the best of the bunch for 2014.

Best of the bunch for sure. I can't go anywhere without strangers coming up to me to gawk at my bike! The CVO Breakout seems to be doing well here in SC. Had a guy sell back his 2014 blaze orange breakout to a dealer last month. It had 1000 miles on it. Lasted two days and was gone. I know I'm biased, but I'm really surprised to see them unsold anywhere.

$44K out the door , Yessiree ! That was from late 2012...

And that as before you bought an exhaust system and tuner module !!

The 2014's were and are way slower to move off the showroom floor

Most folks put that down to the 2014 Colour ( sorry "color" ) choices haha...

Agree, I have travelled to a lot of dealers in multile states, they all say it is hard to keep the CVO Breakout on hand.

The 2013's were hard as hell to find, but the 14's don't seem to be selling well at all.  Have spoken  with many dealerships and not only breakouts but many other CVO models as well (as many of you have seen on the forum).  Regarding the Breakout in particular, I think the paint problems have really scared a lot of people away.  I know I am constantly checking for rust on the two I have.  I know they didn't use Gunslinger for the 14's, but the idea is still out there.
