I have seen 2014 CVO's of all types left over from last year as well. No particular model...
Guess they ARE making too many at this point...
Demand now way less than supply...basic economy 101

I agree with you....I think that the price elasticity of the CVOs are at its breaking point.

Too much supply means prices are going DOWN!

There are a few new 12's and 13's out there! Makes you what the dealers are thinking?

You would THINK so... But I just checked their website and found no special deals. It would appear they are trying to move you UP to a '15(!)
They have 5 Deluxes, 4 Limiteds and a couple of RKs in the 2014s. The Limited '14s are 38,999; They have a '15 limited for a whopping 350 bux more! The '15 Roadie is 300 more than the LTD.
Is there ANY chance that a buyer looking at the '14 would NOT get the '15 for that small difference?
Seems weird to me. Maybe they have discounted hang-tags on them, but not on the website?
Perhaps they'll just do a lot more haggling on the '14s.

The dealer I work with has 7 CVO RG Ultras allotted, had 9 deposits.

I trade my 12 CVO RG custom Skunk, with 45,540 miles.  On they got the bike Monday and sold Wednesday.

I got a very fair price for my bike in trade, and a great price for the new one.

:(went to look at a '14 CVO RK and the dealer offered $21k for my '12 CVO RG.

Wasn't much less than what I expected from this particular dealer.

Guess they think we are going to give them away :nixweiss:

I will be giving away my 2013 RG tomoro for
$31,700. It sure is beautiful bike and the buyer gets a brand new 1500 mile road glide for a great price.   I would def wait and buy used next time.  I'll miss her

Serious question here:  All the objections you've raised, especially the red, yet you're buying a new one anyway?  What's up with that?

One explanation might be that a potential buyer can get a '15 Ultra Ltd for $5,100 more.  They'd get all the new changes (infotainment, bags, etc), plus a 2 yr warranty, versus a 6 yr old bike with what is now outdated technology.

Was at the dealer in Salisbury, N.C, Had a 14 CVO Ultra, wife liked it. So I told the Dude look at my 13 lets see what you can do. They wanted 42 for the 14 offered me 25 for the 13. 13 has about 8 grand in extras, premium ride forks, rear shocks , spoiler led's, headers, mufflers etc. Needless to say, rode the 13 home. I know add ons mean nothing at trade time. But they are still wanting MSRP FOR A YEAR OLD MODEL. Waiting to see how long it sits. The 13 is running good, ran even better on the 30 mile ride home.  :apple:
