Update: I went my dealer today to discuss them putting her on the Dyno to dial in my SERT. Surprisingly ( and honestly)the service mgr told me that despite what the HD catalog says, they've never been able to get a 110 over 103hp.  For the cost, he didn't recommend doing it to pick up 3hp. Misleading info by the MoCo!

Confirming that You have the 10.5 pistons and the 259e cams?
If so that combo should make more power than you are getting. The dealer is full of it!

Steve Cole's testing with the 259 showed 108/113 as a bolt in with the 259e cams. http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=97226.0
This is without the 10.5 pistons, again it's time to find a better tuner!

Wow. I'd love to get that kinda power. So I either find an HD dealer who can produce it, or I spend $1000 to scrap and go PC5 w/ Auto tune.  Big investment...

Why exactly do you think you need to find a Harley dealership to tune the bike with the SEPST?  I thought we had already explained to you that many independent tuners also use SEPST, not just Harley dealers.  The secret to a good tune is the guy (tuner) doing the tune, not the device.  There are independent tuners out there who can tune using several different devices, such as SEPST, TTS, etc..  You just need to find a good tuner who isn't limited to using one device.  Forget that guy trying to sell you an inferior piggyback device (PC-V).

I assume you are around Philly.....Dave Stoddart, formally owner of JD's Cycle Works is now with Pocono Mountain HD....he is a TTS guy and does great tunes.  He is the only guy I have found in the area that I would let tune my ride.

Check the specs I dont think the auto tune will calibrate or adjust your timing, I think its for AFR and fuel only
That is where the dyno tune and a good tuner will get you more HP. Timing is everything

I have read thru this post and apparently you do not understand what the purpose of the "tuner" is. A PC-5 or a TTS, or HD unit, they all do the same thing, they provide a method for tuning by a human being using a computer and or a dyno. Why you keep repeating you wish you had a PC5 to get more hp is incorrect and several have mentioned this, the unit produces no power, the programmer (human with aid of a computer) using the tuner does this. Autotune is just a function of a computer connected to the bike and then the bike being operated allowing the computer to monitor the bike fuel/air/ratio based on actual conditions, but then a human with a computer again has to load this information. The guy who sold you on changing to a PC5 really sold you. You have good stuff, just get someone to use it.

You're a little late to the game, but I understand completely.  However, it was my belief (perhaps wrong) that more tuners use PC5's and its software than the HD race tuner I currently have.  Therefore, it's easier to find someone to tune my bike.  I was also told the the Pc5 software is a little more advanced and, therefore, it takes less time to tune. That's all.

I think you will find that in every pocket of the country, there is a "favorite" tuning device, mostly dependent on what tuning shops happen to reside there...  In some areas, Zippers "Thundermax" tuner is the hottest setup going.  Other areas swear by Power Commander tuners.  Other areas swear by Mastertune's TTS tuning device.  It's mostly what people are familiar with and comfortable with using.

The TTS tuning device likely has the most capability and features.  Whether it's the best option for you depends on if there is a tuner in your area expert with using all the features of the TTS.  If you live in northeast Wisconsin near Fuel Moto, Dyno Jet's Power Commander is likely the preferred tuning device due to Jamie Long/Fuel Moto being located there.  And so on...  As others have said, for the average rider, the actual tuning device matters less than the tuner using the device.

The VF HD pushs the Dynojet Commander even over the SEST.
