Yep, that's normal they all do that (for real) ... one does come on before the other. How did you turn it on with the throttle? That's a new one I never heard. Shortly after I got my pipe and FP3 just for chits and giggles I let mine idle with my phone in the temp. mode and if I remember right mine came on about 228* ... sorry, can't recall exactly when both came on or shut off, but maybe this will help put your mind at ease.
Thanks guys! Never knew about the fan/pump test ... pretty neat, 44 yrs. old and still learning, lol. I just tried it on mine & worked like a charm. I couldn't hear the pump (too lazy to reach down) over the fans, but I know it works fine. I often feel the hoses when on the bike when riding. Ignition on, kill switch in "run" and hold wide open for 3 seconds, same thing to turn them off, turning the kill switch off didn't stop the test on mine ... guess you could also turn off ign. to stop but didn't try it. My left fan did come on a split second before the right, tried it several times but both seem to turn off at the same time. This new knowledge will come in handy during the summer if I need to cool it down some, thanks again.
