I always recommend the easiest tool to use in the toolbox...A HAMMER!!!
Sorry sometimes I can't help myself. Good Luck with you computer issues.  :(
And if that hammer won't fix it it must be an Electrical problem!

A properly used hammer can fix electrical problems....

The technical term is CTT (corrective tapping technique)

Try a right click on the video when it turns green and uncheck the "hardware acceleration" option. Close or refresh the video and try again. Another option is to either try a driver update or as has been said use another video player as your default player.

I bought a new HP laptop, 8.1.  Whenever I try to play a video in Facebook or Youtube, the screen goes green and I can't see video.  Audio is fine, but no picture.  Videos played up to several days ago, but not now.  What do I do?

I hate to ask the obvious but since the laptop is new don't you have access to HP Tech Support?

The issue could be a bad board or connection (hardware) as well as software. I would think you aren't alone and the Techies are going to know exactly what the corrective action should be.

Good luck and leave it alone until after the holidays and rest, relax and enjoy yourself.

If'n a hammer dun't fix it, get a bigger hammer and lay it to the laptop. If'n that dun't work and there is anythin left, take it back to the store you bought it from and tell em it broke! ;D
