To those of you who are having issues with HD GDO, I had the same problem and solved it by simply installing a $4 automotive style relay which is  available at any auto parts store, to power the GDO. I used the high beam power lead to trigger the relay.  Garage door opener and HID high beam now work as intended.  Hope this helps.

Have (not) read each and every entry here to isolate the problems being experienced with (loss of GDO function),  but some other of us have gone thru this scenario before and maybe (or maybe not).............our experiences can help here.

Can you provide a diagram of what wires get connected to each relay terminal or description of how you wired this relay? It would be helpful as I'm having the same problem and have not been able to find a fix yet.

No...from everything I've read, the HID low beam is plenty of light, and it appears that way to me as well.

No doubt, I added my HID's a year ago and the only time i turn on the high beam is to open the garage door!

great job on the write up! I'm betting that took more time than the install!!
