Motorcycle Personality test
« on: October 17, 2008, 12:53:47 PM »

Interesting test here to see what type of bike you should be riding.
Are you on the right bike?  :huepfenlol2:

(FYI you don't have to put your DOB in the last question to get your results)

My resuts for The Motorcycle Personality Test;

Ducati Monster
You scored 3 moxie, 5 zeal, and 6 pomp!

You're a bit of a snob, but otherwise well-adjusted.
Your bike is the Ducati Monster. Sexy. Powerful. Agile. Italian style in a badass matte black.

Of all the test takers, you are most likely to have been hoping for your result to indicate that your bike is a Harley. It isn't. Sorry. You show the potential to become a superior rider, and you need a bike that encourages and rewards your learning. The Harley will just hold you back, and you'll have nagging feelings that something is wrong.

The Suzuki SV series is also a good bet, but it wouldn't appeal to you. Far too Common.

no idea how they score this thing:

Your result for The Motorcycle Personality Test by ...

Yamaha FJR1300
You scored 1 moxie, 7 zeal, and 1 pomp!

You have the characteristics of a master street rider. On the way to work, your love for riding sometimes leads you to take the long way. The 50-miles-of-back-roads long way. You live for the perfect road, and plan vacations around riding.
You need a bike that can handle your addiction to the twisties as well as comfortably carry two on a weekend trip through the mountains. Your bike is the FJR1300. Can I borrow it someday?

Your result for The Motorcycle Personality Test by ...

Yamaha YZF R1
You scored 9 moxie, 10 zeal, and -1 pomp!

You're addicted to speed, but have the knowledge and experience to match. Although you like to win, you don't really care so much about competing with others as much as competing with yourself.
Your bike is the Yamaha YZF R1. Given how easily the rear wheel on this beast spins up coming out of turns, it is fortunate that you constantly work to improve your skills. (I've seen more R1s crash at track days than any other bike.)

It was a close decision with the Suzuki GSXR1000, but your personality seemed a bit more R1-ish. (But hey, I could be wrong. Its only a silly test.)

Neal--These are my results, as well.  Bet my FJR1300 can beat your FJR1300.

Exactly what is a Yamaha FJR1300?

I stopped when the first question defined an active rider as someone who rides 2000 miles a year.  Fun game perhaps.  But they don't have a clue what they're talking about.

600cc Sportbike
You scored 9 moxie, 2 zeal, and 3 pomp!

You are a squid. Your bike is a 600cc Japanese Sportbike. Take your pick, it really doesn't matter, since you're going to wad it.
You are the primary source of extra bits of fairing plastic on eBay.

When you're riding in the mountains, you have a hard time keeping up with that Olde Pharte on a Triumph Thruxton without blowing the centerline in the twisties and going WFO on every straight. (You're not a bad rider, but you're just not as good as you think you are.)

On a hot day, you're likely to be seen weaving through highway traffic at warp speed, wearing sneakers and a t-shirt blowing up your back.

The good news for you is that this is a temporary phase in your riding career. You will either (a) buzzsplat or (b) become more acutely conscious of your own mortality after a few minor but eye-openingly lucky crashes.

Take it to the track. You'll live longer.

Consistantly wins "battles" in motorcycle tests for best sport touring bike...has for a few years, though some others come close.  It's a very good bike, for what it is designed to do.  Relatively inexpensive too.

You know, something like that FJR1300 would probably be really nice to have.  Probably considerably less care and maintenance intensive.  A lot to be said for that.  Just ride the thing and not have to mess with it.

And not have to mess with it?
Might as well get a Honda Civic.

Hmmmmm, interesting...here's what I got:

Aprilia RSV Mille

You scored 6 moxie, 5 zeal, and 9 pomp!

You're a fast and competent rider, but maybe not quite as good as you think you are. You've spent some big bucks on a sexy Aprilia, now go buy a beat-up Kawasaki EX500 as a track bike and get in some practice before you kill yourself.

Seriously. The Mille's power scares the crap out of you at times, and you mostly bought it because you wanted something more unusual than a Ducati. Its not comfortable, you're not having fun, and you're riding less than you did on your old bike. If you're not willing to put in some serious practice time, you should really get something a little less purposefully lethal.

If a person wanted a bike for a daily rider, back and forth to work, to hell with it if it's gets dirty...just get on and ride and do basic maintenance, and get 45mpg in the process.  Last forever. Keep the HD for special trips/rides.

I can't do the test on this computer, so have no idea what it would say.

Ducati 996

You exhibit an overexuberance in all respects that cannot be satisfied. Your attitude and ego are over the top, yet you actually have the skills to match. Its infuriating. People would hate you, but you're too damned nice. You always ride like its your last day to live, and leave bystanders vaguely aroused.
Your bike is the Ducati 996. Sex on wheels.

You scored 9 moxie, 9 zeal, and 6 pomp!

You exhibit an overexuberance in all respects that cannot be satisfied. Your attitude and ego are over the top, yet you actually have the skills to match. Its infuriating. I think the results are interesting and have been touched on by others here. I would have to guess the CVO crowd goes for the flashy and fast mods and have a slightly different personality from a person that is happy with a stock Harley especially a person that likes to keep a bike stock.
I know an older guy who used to ride Harleys and still appreciates them but he got tired of having to spend thousands of dollars to get them to run to their full potential. He now rides an R1 and loves the fact of just turn the key/ride out of the showroom/ and ride with lots of performance and lower maintenance. All at a lower purchase price too.
I don't know when this test was designed and I know lots of other bikes
could be added to the selections that have appeared so far.
Mine result was for a Sportster or Softail (my first Harley was a Fatboy and I had it for 9 years.) But I also wonder about getting a second bike for my garage and maybe the idea of getting something different may shake things up a bit? I like the Kawasaki Concours 14 as a different type to try out. It seems to be lots of power and performance for not much money compaired to a Harley. I know it might depreciate more than a Harley but i don't worry about depreciation as much as fun of ownership.

As a side story my father-in-law took the test even though he currently doesn't ride a bike. He is a very cautious driver and is the type to do 55 in a 55 zone and gets nervous at 56 mph. He hates traffic violators too and loves to see them get caught.
His results were for him to get an SUV and avoid motorcycles. (I thought that was right for him and kind of funny too.)

Sorry you had problems harleyteam.
I didn't have problems by going to the link :
http://www.okcupid.com/tests/take?testid=17525870837436152068
Then hitting the next button under the paragraph and it took me to the test. At the end it did ask for a date of birth and I left it at jan1 1980 I think. I may have asked if i wanted to be on their mailing list and I unchecked the block and then hit the last button and got my results. So far no spam from them.. :nixweiss:

Ducati ST4s here.  Need a girl to go with it!

Hmmm, same bike here.  At least it comes in RED!

Here's my synopsis....

You love riding, simply for the sake of riding. On the way to work, you sometimes find yourself taking the long way. The 50-miles-of-back-roads long way. Your mastery came about as a side effect from your love of the sport, although to be honest, you originally got into it because you thought a motorcycle would make you look cool.
You need a bike that can handle your addiction to the twisties as well as reasonably carry two on a weekend trip through the mountains. Because you are a bit image-conscious and have a touch of ego, your bike is a Ducati. A practical Ducati, but a Ducati nonetheless.

Slow Day at office:   :nixweiss:

Your result for The Motorcycle Personality Test by ...

Yamaha YZF R1
You scored 6 moxie, 11 zeal, and 0 pomp!

Its only a silly test.)   :nixweiss:    :nixweiss:

Ok! I took the silly thing here's mine!

Ducati Monster
You scored 5 moxie, 3 zeal, and 10 pomp!

It isn't bragging if its true  8)

You scored 8 moxie, 12 zeal, and 7 pomp!

Your result for The Motorcycle Personality Test by ...

I finally took the test I've read about.  I think I like the results...

Yamaha FJR1300
You scored 1 moxie, 9 zeal, and 0 pomp!

I saw the picture someone posted of the Yamaha FJR1300.  I could see myself riding that bad boy.  I've always like the Hondas, like the Pacific Coast 800 they had many years ago and the 1100 and 1300 they make just like the Yamaha.  These are my next favorite type of bike that I would own.  I've have to have my wife get used to the slight forward lean though.  Actually my very old Gold Wing GL1000 was one of the nicest riding bike I've had, now next to the new '08 SERK Annie.

So I could live with either.  The point of riding is not exactly what I ride, although I have a choice and I ride a HD, but the point is to be out there riding and have fun enjoying the country and letting your daytime stresses just go and relax.  That's what I like to do.  I was a service manager for a Chevy/Pontiac dealership and back in the early '80s I bought an American Eagle Ultralight.  When I was up in that thing there was nothing to think about but flying it and enjoying the sights.  I completely got lost in the flying and work just stayed on the ground while I took off.  I find the stressful days here at work are the same when I ride now, they stay home and I get to ride and forget my problems.

Interesting test though.  I'm going to have my wife take and see what she should be riding.  She's a wuss and will not learn to ride alone.  She just enjoys being a BSR.

I did both.

What Kind of Motorcycle are You?
Ducati Sport Classic GT1000

You are a Ducati Sport Classic GT1000. You lucky, lucky person! You are well balanced and have a timeless style with a modern twist. You are in control of your present situations but can't always see what lies ahead. That's ok, you are a comfortable person to be around and have many admirers. Approachable, yet powerful you are a sight to behold and give an experience that will not soon be forgotten.

Your result for The Motorcycle Personality Test by ...

Aprilia RSV Mille
You scored 7 moxie, 2 zeal, and 11 pomp!

Compared To Other Takers
You scored 7 on moxie, higher than 70% of your peers.
You scored 2 on zeal, higher than 26% of your peers.
You scored 11 on pomp, higher than 98% of your peers.

You have a very small unit, smell like a french whore, you have the personality of a grapefruit, you have a comb over and your mom dressed you funny. So, drink heavily and leave the normal people alone.

I think this test pegged me..lol  :huepfenjump3:
