I went to my steeler's yesterday where they sold Amsoil when I bought my bike last fall to get some, but was informed that the new owners got rid of Amsoil claiming that it causes stator failure.  Anybody here had stator trouble with Amsoil?  These guys that bought the shop are from Florida, and the parts guy thought it was a hotter climate thing.  Then he had a customer who uses Amsoil come in for a new stator.   :-\

:wall:   I just love these clowns.  Don't tell me, after blaming Harley stator failures on Amsoil, they gave you the sales pitch for that light beer of motor oils, SYN3?  I hope you invited them to keep their oil and moved on down the road.

BTW, Harley's (and other brands as well) have suffered stator failures throughout the history of the product.  Let's see, fine wire windings, high temperatures, and vibration.  :confused5:  Nothing in that design that might lead to a failure, must be that damned Amsoil.  ::)

I just ordered a case (12 quarts) of Amsoil.  $106 US and includes shipping.
