Congrats and enjoy Mr. D. A new bike is a new bike what ever it is. Hope it gives you all you want from it and nothing you don't want. To me that is worry free riding. :2vrolijk_21:

Thanks Rooster Since we don't NEED a bike a man gets a new one because he wants to and at the prices these things cost he must have wanted it real bad. ;D

Yes hayed this has become a large thread especially with all the jerks jacking it. :D Lova ya!

Dr. D,

I agree and my apologies. I removed my non sequitur entries. But wanted to put this one back in. Great bike! And I may join the crowd and get a green/creme one. We shall see what the CFO approves! :)

Cam I told you no apologies and I am serious. This whole thing is for fun and share experiences. My name calling ,which I meant completely in jest, was aimed at Haird who I think can take a good natured ribbing. I will start a new thread about this bike  because my wife has plenty to say after she stole it from me for a three day 660 mile touring trip in the Smoky Mountains.

Still weighing the options. Getting the Indian is the easy part, BTW. Having access to Smoky Mountains whenever one feels like it? Not so easy from NOVA! :(

Ugly to one is lovely to another. Just look around at the women you see married and ask why did that guy pick her? I can't explain the buying of this color and if you would have asked me ahead of time if i would buy a baby blue motorcycle i most likely would have said no, but when i first saw it it struck me hard. Matters of the heart are not easily explained by the mind. Words are even more difficult. I had a friend that was buying a Bentley GT and was having trouble choosing a color. I told him that was because he had not even seen the right one yet. When you see "your" bike you will know it.

You did good. If I had your money, I would buy a spare motorcycle too. Maybe even that Baby Blue Indian Vintage. Looks like a nice bar hopper or afternoon cruise vehicle. I would not ride it for touring. A backrest would be appreciated but likely ruin the looks, like putting Marilyn Monroe into a pantsuit.

My wife took it on a three day touring trip this last weekend and she did say it need a back rest of that kind of usage. I told just what you said that it would be a aesthetics problem. Some things just need a naked rear end like MM :huepfenjump3:

When all is said and done, the only Indian I would be tempted by would be an orginal in line four cylinder antique.
