As suggested, an engine can be broken in on a dyno with proper heat cycling, and immediate work on AFR's, then loading the engine and decal to break in rings. It is not done at WOT, but carefully in small stages, watching and changing AFR's as required all while watching engine heat. As little as 50 miles on the dyno will do it, while being assured fuel mix (AFR) is right for the various load conditions. Riding the bike with no tune prior can lead to very serious issues, too lean or too rich will both damage a motor, esp a new one very quickly.
I would personally change the oil/filter at this point. Its broke in!!!, but not where I would go out and ring the snot out of it. If its done correctly, you can drive it normally, at any speed considered legal, including good acceleration for passing, merges etc for the next 500 miles. At that point, I'd change the oil again and your ready for that 2000mile trip your dying to take!! jm2cw twinotter
