Don,

Thanks for the offer, but I probably have more of a brood than you want to put up with.  I've got the family put up in a local motel, and I am staying at the house to keep watch over the bikes.  I am hopefull this won't last much longer, I am affraid the SERK is going to get too cold if I don't get some heat in the garage soon.  [smiley=nervous.gif]

Later,
Ghost

Don't be too concerned about anything being a hassle.  If you need a hand with anything just give a call.

I was shoveling my driveway for the umpteenth time this winter (so far) and stepped on a patch of ice and slipped and fell on my tailbone/lower back. 2 Advils and 2 LARGE Black Russians later I'm here to B!tch about the Fu@k@d up weather we've been having here in Colorado! I dorked up my back last month trying to push my car out of a 3 foot drift and was healing nicely when this crap happened today. I've had it!!! Gonna load up the 12 gauge and go blow the hell outta a 6 foot snow bank in front of the house! AAaaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!   [smiley=angry.gif] [smiley=beadyeyes.gif] [smiley=brood.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drunk.gif] [smiley=evilgrin.gif] [smiley=evilgrin.gif] [smiley=evilgrin.gif] [smiley=evil3.gif] [smiley=freak.gif] [smiley=givemebeer.gif] [smiley=givemebeer.gif] [smiley=hanged.gif] [smiley=knife.gif] [smiley=mean.gif] [smiley=rifle.gif] [smiley=rifle.gif] [smiley=rifle.gif] [smiley=sauer005.gif] [smiley=sauer005.gif] [smiley=sauer005.gif] [smiley=shifty.gif] [smiley=sick.gif] [smiley=sick.gif] [smiley=smilie_daumenneg.gif] [smiley=soapbox.gif]

We don't have snow here......but it's freakin' cold......big story on the news last night was all the pipes freezing in San Diego.  Great for the local plumbers,   but WTF over....It costs too much to live here for weather like this.

I bought a 4X4 so I don't have to shovel the driveway.  You just drive over the crap.  Saves my back anyway.  I hope you're feeling well soon.  Nothing worse than a bad back.  Been there, done that.

Cheers, MOe [smiley=banana.gif]

I designed and installed a radiant snow melting system 3 years ago for my entire property. It works similar to radiant heated floor systems except uses anti-freeze in the tubing (it's controls are also a little more complex). It works unbelievably well. I designed mine to melt 2 in. of snow per hour at 50 MPH wind speed (approx. 200 BTU/sq.ft.). If anyone is thinking about this and wants advice/assistance, PM me. I could start a thread on this, but I don't think the mods have a topic for Snow Melting Systems! I vowed never to shovel again! ;) Hoist! 8-)

Just got this picture from my brother who lives just up the road from you in Divide, Colo.  This is taken in front of his house, looking out the driveway.  Notice his view of Pike's Peak in the background.

It's something that we just can't relate to here in Cali. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Jay, I did that a couple of years ago and broke 3 ribs when I landed on a concrete curb under the snow. I found throwing the snow shovel into the street and making a stiff as hell bloody mary helped a little. Then went to the clinnic and got some pain meds, came home, ran over the shovel, turned on the travel channel and watched a show about the  Caribbean islands, took some more pain meds, passed out; that did the trick.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Oh man, that's a GREAT suggestion!! Retribution against inanimate objects won't usually get ya arrested but is VERY high in therapy value! Thanks for the smile & laugh... I needed that.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I'd take the snow with blue sky like that.

What a view, hope they made it through the storms ok.

Colorado's response is winter is #1????????????? [smiley=nixweiss.gif] [smiley=nervous.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=drink.gif]

On a serious note Jay, I'm not sure if it will work for you but it sure brings me back into reality when I get worn down and sound about like you do right now. Instead of fueling my furry I begin to look at the good from a bad situation. For instance, When you hurt your back, be Thankful you were able to get out of bed to go outside and shovel the snow to begin with. Then you were able to come inside to a nice warm house and I'm guessing here, but probably received some Love from that wonderful wife you've been married to for sooo long and told us about. Possibly that sweet granddaughter is still there or called you to tell you she's sorry you hurt your back. Now none of this may have happened but I'm sure you can fill in your own words of how you were Blessed during these terrible situations you all have been in. When I start in this direction it lifts my spirit and not only makes me feel better but those I Love don't think I'm such a horses rear!!!!!!!  :o ::) ;D But then again that's just me! Good Luck and God Bless!
