I have actually considered removing the tank badge and not replacing with anything else.  It's not like you can't tell it's a Harley and EVERYTHING on the bike says HD in some form or fashion...
The paint under the badge would be my concern so I keep waxing around them..... ;D

As Harry said the stock badge is an incredibly cheap piece of sheet metal.  When mine came loose I was very surprised what a piece of junk it was.  I believe I've seen the eagle tank badge on 15-16 black CVO Street Glides.  You might want to check their tank position to see if its close to what you want to do to match curvature.  All the cvo street glides do not have the same tank badge.

Here's what it looks like without the badge, Howard.  My wife refuses to ride on the back until I get the new badges installed.   ::)

That may or may not be an incentive to install new badges

Tell you what, to me that looks very nice and clean.  The lines from the faring through to the tank flow much nicer without the badge  :2vrolijk_21:

Found a nice set of badges used on eBay. They are the ones that you all are talking about. I don't know how to put a link on here but if you're interested go to eBay and search
322082548952
The are $60+$8.45 shipping for the pair. Good luck.
If anyone finds a good deal on " 110 cubic inches" derby cover please let me know. Must be a good deal. I'm in no hurry.

The "naked" look is a thousand percent better than the look with the emblems.  If anyone needs an emblem to know what brand of bike it is, they obviously aren't into bikes and therefore don't count.

You pay a premium for the brand name then take it off. Interesting. Let's start a rebellion.

Or replace them with a badge from a Victory or Indian (or even a Chevy) and see if anyone notices.

I have a 12 CVO RGC and the skull head badges were already removed when I bought it. Kind of glad too because imo is the dumbest looking badge ever. I like mine naked. I have removed a few badges using gooBgone, using a hest gun sounds a little dangerous to me.

My brother had one of those cars! bought it used from someone who couldn't figure out why it was running rough.. turned out to be a simple vacuum leak - which we diagnosed as we were looking at it to buy it, Paid something like $200 for it, that thing was ugly but reliable enough to serve him well for several years.

but I don't think i'll be putting that particular badge on my CVO  :huepfenlol2:
