Kid, that is worlds better than the stock unit.  Well done... ;D
I'm staying bare for the near future. I may go the way of the d00d and paint it someday... :2vrolijk_21:

Note:  I was VERY disappointed in the "quality" of the stock tank badge during this removal.  It was actually two pieces with the silver/chrome/aluminum outside part pealing right off with no effort.  If I had snagged it with a cleaning cloth the wrong way on past washings, it would have come right off.  Removing the "cover" revealed a black piece of molded plastic which was actually double-sided taped to the tank.  The only metal was the thin, flimsy aluminum outside.  It wasn't anything like prior, chrome, metal pieces from past models.  I know I'm preaching to the choir here but how much cheaper can the MoCo go  :nixweiss:
Cheaper parts, higher prices, better profit margin I guess.....

Hairs, I felt the same way about the original badge when one of mine came off just a few months after getting the bike. Still think if mine ever comes loose again they are both getting changed to something else.

OK, so here's the new badge.
So all I want to know is how in the world is it possible that Harley thought the old RGU badge was anywhere near a proper badge for a CVO, and why the heck is the 2012's badge so much beefier, heavier, larger, and way cooler than the '14 RGU's?
I just don't understand it...
Nor do I understand their thinking Harry. I succumbed to temptation and ordered a set of the 2012 SESG badges and just finished mounting them. They do indeed look way cool .......the cool a CVO emblem should have ;D! My bike now has more pride and runs mo bettah .....LOL ::)!

..........As for changing your current emblems to something you like better, it won't be a problem if you plan ahead and mark the location with painters tape or something similar before removing the old one.  Makes it much easier to align the new ones, since you don't have a fixture to locate them like they do in production.

If the factory used a fixture to position my 2015 tank emblems, whoever calibrated the fixture must have been intoxicated as the positioning was waaaay off ......LOL ::)!

Holy crapinolĂ©!  And we're amazed at the unseen stuff that passes their QC by!
Guess you needed to opt for the $50K "no problems" bike?  Oh wait...they don't offer one!   :o
I noticed on mine that the pin striping was close but not perfect from side to side, so maybe your badges are perfect and the paint...ain't!

Wonder if Indian is having issues like this??

It's gravity's fault.  Gravity is always worse on the side with the low emblem.

A bit off topic but mine came with one amber turn signal lens to go with the other 3 clear ones.  Salesman, dealer prep or I did not notice till I got it home.  Otherwise I did not find anything they missed in prep.  Cant get a much easier fix.

Back on topic, I like your new badges and yes I was very disappointed in the MoCo at how cheap the original badge was when mine fell off.  Wish I recall what the invoice (N/C due to warranty) was to order a replacement.  Think it was something like $60 each. That's ridiculous for a cheap piece of tin.

Ron,
Whether they fell off or not, they are cheap.  In fact, when I got mine off, it was kind of scary how easily the rubber adhesive pulled away from the inside of the old badge.  They are very thin and extremely easy to bend or damage.  The new "eagle" badges are lightyears better in terms of quality and appearance.  I imagine they're thin as well, but they're so much bigger that they seem thicker and beefier.

That's how mine came off.  The tin had a loose edge and my jeans seam finished tearing it off the underside plastic.  The underneath plastic filler was actually bonded to the tank pretty well.  Still junk, I hope HD has to replace hundreds at their cost for putting such a piece of junk on a CVO!

Looks great, Harry.  Hey, where'd you get the 110 horn cover?

By the way, I'm still "nekid" on my tank with no tank badging.  I love that look so I'm keeping it clean.

I'm not Harry but I have the same horn cover...

Air Wing Horn Cover P/N 69167-02A

Harry will have to supply you the P/N of the 110 CI medallion... can't find that.  :nixweiss:

Gentlemen,
Here's the info on the horn bell (cover) and the medallion, including part numbers.
