Best Harley I've ever owned. My wife even loves it.

This threads been interesting.  Just looking at the poll results again......of course, no surprise to me, overwhelming majority love this ride.  And of course I understand those that are frustrated due to problems that they've had and while some have had their problems satisfied, I'm sure that there are others that are still disgruntled.  But the one that really piques my interest is the 16 that voted "neutral".  I mean when you're at the top of the heap there is nowhere else but back down......if not this model then which one turns your crank? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  Inquiring minds want to know.

Without any doubt, having had 20+ bikes over the past 40 years, the SEEG is at the top of the list. 2nd would be a 92 springer I had but it is so far back it would be no contest. Only concern is that so much yellow does occationally strain my eyes [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

I like this bike, but you have to admit that $30k is way too much coin for what you get. This is only my second brand-new Harley and new bike period (traded my '04 Super Glide for the SEEG) ... I always rode used jap bikes for most of my years that were about one fifteenth the cost of this thing, every one of them would've smoked this bike and were less maintenance too. Wrecking my old V-65 Sabre was the main reason for making me grow up, slow down and buy my first Harley. I'd probably be dead by now had I stayed with the jap bikes, I always loved twisting my wrist as far as it would go so here I am.

I voted "Somewhat satisfied" mostly for what I mentioned above. I do love the awesome looks and sound of this machine, but not the high price tag that goes with it ... if the price of the bike doesn't kill ya, the cost of the parts surely will. Sorry ... I don't mean to sound like a crybaby, but I didn't fall out of a money tree.

I have only owned my 05 SEEG for a couple of days and the weather has not allowed much riding but I do like what got so far. The fit and finish is typical Harley, very good. This is my fifth Harley and my first CVO. That being said , I am past the sticker shock of the P & A book and realize you get what you pay for. I'm sure someone has totaled up the retail cost of the add on parts this machine comes standard with and added the cost of a new FLHTCI and enlightened us to the value that the CVO bikes are. So far so good on my impressions. I like to modify so I will have more to follow. As far as anything negative, my only beef is the same for all Harleys, Why not go ahead and put the chrome bolts on the chrome covers and charge me 300 bucks more.

Very good question!

Welcome to the site! [smiley=drink.gif]  I think you'll end up like most of us, loving that SEEG and you're gonna love this site.  Quite different from most Harley web sites........very helpful, friendly and a lot of factual information here that you can't even get from your dealership regarding our bikes.  WELCOME! Thanks alot for the welcome. I've been on a quest for this bike for a year. Never could get the timing and money to come together til now. I ride with a couple of CVO owners and that has a lot to do with my wanting one. I have already enjoyed this site a gret deal and it has been very informative. I have a few plans for my newest pride and joy and I'll be glad to share what I learn as I go along. I will be posting alot over the next few weeks if for no other reason than to get rid of the newbie thing.

Newcomer to the site,( first time) I took possession of my 05 Electra Glide (Sunrise Yellow Pearl/Stingray Silver) in June and I love it!!1 The only problem I have had is the paint is chipping off. The dealership has not made a decision yet on what they think. I

Susie, great to have you on board. You will love it here, people are fantastic and there is endless information, both useful and not. [smiley=nervous.gif]
Also you will hear alot of BS about cherry's being faster but us fortunate BANANA owners know better. [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

I bought my bike from Buddy Stubbs H-D on June23, but was not able to ride it until September 12 because of neck injuries. No, this is not road chips it is on the inside (backside) of the fork. It has started chipping in 3 different places and is flaking off. I have pictures if I can figure out how to download them into this message.  I believe the dealership will solve the problem. I have to say that out of the dealerships here in the valley I think Buddy Stubbs H-D (Frank and Jack Buddy's sons) is top of the line. They have treated me right always.
Also I first hear about this site while I was in Mexico at the Rocky Point Rally. Then I received an email from Monorat/John telling me again about the site because of seeing pictures of me on my "banana baby"  [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=banana.gif]
