if you want to do it right, it's gonna be a lot more than $5k.  I priced out one of those limited paint sets a couple of years ago for my roadglide.  with the tourpack, lowers, saddlebags (extended or standard), and full tins, it was a lot closer to $10k.

Only if someone pays to upgrade to a 117. There's no RK coming stock with the 117. Only the CVO models which are the Limited, SG and RG.

Now that is more of a CVO paint job.  I guess they figured they could milk another $5-$10K from their customers who want a paint job that stands out.

Have to agree - this looks more like a CVO paint job than any of the '18 CVOs, with the exception of the Limited CVO blue.

I for one love the colour so much of the CVO Anniversary Ultra I have ordered one, hope I can get one down under, waiting
for the dealer to get back to me, anyone get a picture of one can you post it up please, nothing to look at in the dealers
here for a while and I know when I ordered my Gold Rush in 2014 it looked completely different in the flesh.

I am definitely in the minority here as I like all 3 Road Glide colors. I see potential in all of them. For me it is about time they departed from the norm and did something different. For the sake of Harley hopefully for as many that don't care for the colors there are just as many that do. I am after a M8 CVO RG bike and the fact that there are no lowers on the Road Glides is a win win for me. 

Every year when the new models come out most on here talk about how ugly they are, how Harley is done, etc. From the pics I usually agree like I do this time but when you see them in person we start seeing people posting about their new bikes and how much they love them. I was that guy last year when I saw the pics I thought they looked horrible but the following week when I went into a dealer and saw it it took me about 10 minutes to decide to buy it and absolutely love it now.
All that being said I also don't love the paint jobs on the Roadglide and Streetglide from the pics ( I do love a couple of the Ultra's) but do love that they have changed things up on those models and am looking forward to seeing them in person. I also love that the Roadglide does not have lowers.
Don't mean to go against the trend here but I guess I am just being "Polly Anna" again

I saw the "Black Earth Fade" CVO Limited in person last night. Although the blacked out look is not for me the PAINT was beautiful.

I am first in line for a CVO Road glide with the dealer I use.  The first one they get is the Gunship gray.  Should be by the end of the month.  I want to see it in the sun.  Most likely though I will pass on it.  I am really leaning to the Black Earth & Vivid Black even though I usually like light colored bikes.

I think I would like the orange one if it had the black motor and bars and so on.

The price jump is just crazy.
