Ok back to the topic at hand.

What is the difference between the Quantum & Trubo? Besides price.

Ok but that tells me nothing. I read that on their site but it doesn't describe the differences.

AJ, request a brochure on the Bushtec website and they will send you all the info you need....and then some.  You will also get a personal email from the owner.
I found another used Roadstar in Tenn.

Jerry, I was only going by what the Bushtec rep told me on the phone.  I asked specifically if the "trailer package" included a hitch and harness.  The guy said yes.  Never considered the question again after that.

The guy very likely misspoke though.  I just looked at their price and spec's sheet and it lists the hitches separately and doesn't include them in a listing of what's supplied with a trailer.

In a way that sucks as I was figuring that money in the cost/value of that white one I turned down for $1800.  Had I realized that the hitch/harness cost was above the trailer cost that would have seemed a much better deal.  In fact I'd very likely have jumped on it.

This black trailer I'm chasing now has a lot more bells and whistles already on it though.  And a few less miles.  Relative to its original cost it's actually a better deal than the white one and a couple years newer.  So by screwing up on the white one I might have lucked in to a better overall package.

Way too many different hitch options to include in base price of new trailer imo.  You can have std or receiver and different for Honda, H-D, BMW, etc.  When I was up there in March regarding design of my trailer they were custom fabricating a hitch for a Honda sport touring bike - can't recall the model name.  Anyway, they will make a hitch if need be.

Don, hope it works out for you.  The white one gone?

I filled out all the info on their site. Do y'all think we can get a 'group buy' here? ;D

I'm still trying to figure out the best option for me. If these units hold 70% of their value after 5-6 years it makes sense to purchase new. And I really like Ultrafxr's paint! I just have not been able to tell the difference between the Quantum and Turbo+ besides pricing and minor styling changes.  :nixweiss:

AJ, you gonna get one? That's cool. I've never used one, but I hear once you go trailering, you never go back. just make sure you don't fill it up full for the Hot Springs trip.  ;)

I think it is mainly a matter of taste and preference but here are a couple things to consider as explained to me by Andrew Preston.  The Quantum being more rounded and with softer lines compliments the fairing and tank on the Ultra.  And its wrap around taillights compliment the tourpak lights on the regular Ultra but of course the CUSE does not have those.  The Turbo +II is more angular and compliments the lines of the saddlebags which, of course, is the part of the bike it is closest to.  Personally I just think the Turbo looks better with the Ultras, the Quantum with the Goldwing taillights looks great with those bikes and the Roadstar is great on the Softail - jmho.  Give Andrew a call.  He will be happy to cover all of this with you.
