I agree, there's many ways to look at HP, and many ways to get there. Having the highest numbers on a dyno sheet doesn't relate to the best usable power for all situations. Almost everything on this site is someone's opinion based on experiences of the past. I think most people share because they are looking to help someone. If you have a good alternative throw it out here, don't knock other people!

Silver-Black, if you don't agree with the mild mods, tell me what your verion is about the heads, cams, ect. What works and what don't.

Welcome to the site!
As far as what works and what doesn't, try the following,

For what works IMHO, read post from the following people,
hd-dude
103Thunder
Erniezap
Hogasm
DC Fireman
JR
MJZ
Twolanerider
Hubbard
Otis
FiredOOd
Chief
Hogbreath

For what doesn't work, talk to the same people on the list above.
The smart ones above have spent their money and have upgraded to where they are now.
The REALLY smart ones have paid attention to the what others have done and sorted through the B/S and have only paid once to get where they are!

As for recommending a supplier and or builder IMHO the best in the country are as follows,

CycleRama             Florida                B
Zippers                  Maryland            S
Tman Performance   North Carolina     S
Bumpus HD             Tenn                 B
Freedom Cycles       Nevada              S&B
HD-Dude                California            S&B

As far as for myself, I have used Tman and Freedom Cycles. (if I lived in Calif, only HD-Dude for my work)
Ask the people on this site, they will tell you what was best for them.
As far as knocking anyone, I say look at what they ride and how it runs.
There are people that can tell the story based on what they heard and then there are people that can prove the facts by firing up their ride.
I listen to the latter when I want to upgrade!

update
I'm adding this line to say that if you have a high performance or at least a damn good running bike and I didn't include you on the above list then I'm sorry! (That includes you also Spiderman)

 ;D

Silver-Black, thanks for the info. Tell me what you think about the dealer cleaning up the ports ( casting ect. ) and behind the valves for the mild mods I mention on this thread earlier. I thinking this sounds OK for these mild changes.

It may have been ok IF you posted IMHO, but you did not. Seemed like you were stating fact, and I take offense to your comments and choices, not so much who you included, but who you left out. IMHO, this post is turning into SH*&T, and we need to get back to the technical opinions.

It's so important to have the work done RIGHT. (whatever the work is)
Hubbard and Otis swear that my 03 is 95"'s but it's just an 88.
The work to that motor was exactly what you said, and it runs great.

Oh what the hell…while checking out the last 100 posts I stumbled into this big group hug kind of thing going on. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I haven’t had this much fun since the pigs ate my little brother; no kidding, this is a real scream!!

I’m thinking that we should all go pound on Hoist for chroming that loose nut behind the handlebar. I’ll be in the Screamin’ Eagle Road King board; PM me when this gets exciting.

OK, that’s one more member down, and it’s only just after lunch. I really feel that I’m starting to get the hang of this.
