Here is an eBay retailer that RRSteve here used a couple of times.  Once, he got them for as low as $549 from the same outfit.  You may want to contact them directly to see if they will work with you on price versus going through the auction.  That's what I plan to do.  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4547158030&category=35573

a look at rineharts with high performace baffles & fit

Refresh my memory.  What are the high performance baffles?  Rineharts come stock with 2 1/4 " baffles( the early pipes had 2 1/2" baffles) and the "quiet baffles" are 2".

Don't forget that spring VS the clamp discussion concerning the heat shields.

I looked at that website and it didn't say!

Good point.  I went back to RRSteve's bike after you and I talked about that and he has clamps.  Said that both sets he got from there had 'em.  Still, would not hurt to double-check with them before purchasing.

rineharts high performance baffles part #1860-0036 as per drag specialties
more freeflowing - better sound low deep tone -  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] and can feel that rear tire bite into the ground as you wind up the cable

So now I have a question

Does that mean if you buy a set of rineharts, you also have to buy the right size baffles?
The size you want does not come with your pipes?

I'm a little fuzzy here?????????????? [smiley=nervous.gif]

They come with 2 1/4" baffles.  These are just fine, IME, but then we all like to modify a bit, don't we?

Correct.  The standard baffles are 2-1/4", and the performance baffles are 2-1/2".  Performance baffles have a deeper tone and are more free-flowing.  Took mine to the dealer with baffles in hand.  Had them dyno it for a baseline...max hp=110; max tq. =110.  It had been previously dyno-tuned.  Installed performance baffles and re-dyno tune...no other changes.  Max hp=119.9; max tq=114.5.  I would say that's a nice performance gain for a rather minimial cost.  Also, I don't have stock heads so that may be a contributing factor as to why my bike likes the performance baffles...I don't know.  Anyway, I'm happy with the results.

I've had some problems with that front header as I posted previously. Just when I thought I had them set right, after a 5 mile ride the break pedal would ever so sligthly touch the pipe, and you know what that does. Anyway, I called Reno and spoke with Brad on Friday and he suggested loosening both the head bolts and the tranny bolts, and "push it up". Well, you can't push it up really. So I took a screw driver with a rag and wedged it between the pipe and the pedal, pushed up and tightened. Voila! I put a couple of hundred miles today and all I can say is it's beautiful man [smiley=beerchug.gif]. I know my RK is pulling 99.7/99.4 and this bike made me feel like my RK is a little weak and slow. I know, I know, WE WANT DYNO.  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] I will get to Tilley's hopefully by the end of next week. I may be running a little lean as the cones had barely any residue when I got home. Other than that the pre-map seems to be spot on.
Oh, there was a rider with SEEG today, he had the regular Rineharts and RT, humm he did not want to play with me, too bad. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

DYNO SHEETS PLEASE!!!!

Saturday morning I ride to Reno to have mine tuned at Freedom Cycles. I will post the sheet as soon as I get back. It will be a good ride, about 4 hours each way. A long way for a Dyno but really loking forward to it!!!

I'd really like to see that Dyno sheet as well as get your impresssion of how much better the bike runs after Freedom does a map for your specific bike.  My wife and I are leaving for a 2 1/2 week trip to the Southwest and the only commitment we have is a Ride-In May 23rd at the Corbin factory to get a custom seat made that will work with the forward mounted (solo) tour pack.  I use my Mustang Solo when running with the tour pack but its just not as comfortable as my Corbin Solo.  It wouldn't take much to convince me to swing east to Reno for a Dyno tune if there is a noticeable improvement over the generic map.  We're leaving next Friday so the timing of your trip couldn't be better.

Looking forward to that sheet.
