Looks fantastic.   :2vrolijk_21:

Rode with Howie and his lovely bride on Sunday, and when he opened up his bags, we were shocked at how small they really were.  They don't look too small from the outside, but when you look inside, they are ridiculously too small.  They look great, but for travelling, you are going to be so much happier with these hard bags, and looks ............. obviously ...............

The way they should have come right from the factory is right.   :bananarock: :huepfenjump3: :cherry:

I once started to get into a car that was 20' wide on the inside and 7-1/2' wide on the outside. There was something about that concept that just freaked me out and I couldn't get in it. But that was when I was young, invincible, and seeing everything a little distorted for a reason I chose not to post on here.

You're NOT going to look in the trunk are you officer?

Contratulation!  What a great look.  I'm in the process of getting a quote to have the same thing done in blue.  I've never looked into custom paint before; so, if you don't mind me asking, what did the paint job run you?  How close were you able to match the black paint and the leafing?

Thx!

as far as the cost we were kinda of an experimental project. The paint is an awesome match, we were able to get the color codes but the mix per HD wasnt right. The flake wouldnt flop right. So the paint was custom mixed until it was right. As far as the leaf goes that was tough to match, depending on where the leaf was placed on the bike (at the factory) the flop has some color variations, the front fender has some gold flop, tank has a dark green/blue flop, the side covers are a little brighter green and the bags were matched to that flop. Everyone who has seen the bags (those that dont know the bikes) think that the bags are Factory. I can post some other pics if anyone wants them. The bike belongs to my father, I am just the lucky Chrome Consultant that gets to put some break-in miles on it!

Looks nice, I think you'll be hearing from Hoist (howie) when he returns fro his trip he was babbling about the lack of space with those OEM bags. (i still think you guys are tryin' to build an Ultra) :) A tour pack can't be much of a strech now  ;D ;D ;D

A faring to hold a radio, and maybe a gauge or two would be nice.  Lowers to keep your feet out of the rain and cold is also nice.  What the heck.   :huepfenjump3: :cherry:

A few more close ups would be great, I am getting ready to do the same for mine.
I am also doing a fairing too so any extra looks are going to help.

Thanks in advance.

I know, I know.  But I like to go topless now and then and the serk glide is the only way to do that!!

(I have the fairing, tour pak and lowers from my old RK but the lowers won't fit the new mustache bar on SERK's...Oh well I'll go bottmless too!!!)  Egad!  Look out now!!

Congrats.  The bags look great.  Having had a softtail Deuce, these stock SERK simulated leather bags are huge!

Man everything happens when you're away. I missed this one! That looks great! Where'd you get them done? What state? How much? Can I send him my bags for painting? I have the same color as you. He should have it down by now. Please let me know. I have my bags ready to be painted for 4 months now. I'm getting a little aggravated with my painter's Prima-Donna Artsy-Fartsy attitude and just want my damn bags painted! I'm very serious about this! Thanks Hoist! 8)
