OK, got the puppies installed, the 440's mounted, True Track and Tracula bushings as well and finally got a ride in of about 70 miles.
The ride is fantastic, firm but not jarring and very quick to respond. I am really pleased with the ride and look forward to more miles to become fully accustomed to the new ride and handling.
The True Track makes the entire bike much more firm and rigid, especially with the brass bushings in lieu of the Sta-Bo bushings.
All in all I am really pleased with the upgrades.
Edited in the morning:
Well, I slept on it last night and I would describe the ride as on a rail. It seems that the bike is much more responsive to input through the handle bars or weight shift. It definitely goes where you point it now.
Imagine entering a braking zone while riding hard, you apply the brakes with a firm pull on the front bake and "holy cow" the bike slows without the nose diving even a small amount. Sure it changes attitude but I am talking almost imperceptible compression on the front end and yet it isn't harsh at all.
I drove over manhole covers and road depressions even what I thought were chuck holes that previously would have slammed the suspension and virtually nothing. No suspension banging, spin slamming bumps or bottoming, nothing like that at all. I am really looking forward to my ride to work this morning. I'll take a twisty road so I can see better how the cornering is with the new set up.
Absolutely worth the $$$ in IMHO.
