That's about what it's running here in Aladamnbama too, Gary...

Road trip to Florida, two up, loaded...got from 35-38mpg.  Mostly around 65-75mph, though she did see triple digits once or twice... ::) I'm not going to complain about that.

Are you saying you had to replace the tire after 5k miles?? I got 15k out of a rear tire, and still have the original front on my bike at 17k.
