This thread hasn't had a response for awhile so I took the "sticky" off of it.  If it doesn't get response it will drop down the page and eventually into history.

Scanning back through all the posts thow, it looks like the winner would be "ABS or Anti Lock Brakes".  I'm not surprised.  Once HD steps up to the table with a "GOOD" ABS system, I think we'll see a lot less fatalitys and even less serious injuries (that are caused from loss of control of the bike due to locking up the wheels in an emergency situation).

I think they should fix the high speed wobbling before to add new stuff!!. It is a well known problem  and they should deliver a secure bike.  It is not normal that riding a bike over 60 mph could be risky because vicious handling could happen!!!Specially for the Screaming Eagle edition which is the HD performance bike.

I agree on the ABS...there is a new system H-D is looking at for the Police bikes. Very small and not installed in the saddlebags. At this time they have NO plans on putting it on the rest of the models.

I agree with MFG about the wobbling.

I have had 7 dressers and never experienced a wobble.
Yes, I admit that NONE are as fast as the SEEG, but from 0 to 105 and back to 0 on the others I have never had a wobble.

Sounds like an alignment problem or shock issue!

All inline two wheeled vehicles are prone to wobble and weave.  As appears in the 8 part poll that I took,  the respondents experienced it in some cases in others they did not.  If you research the papers that Tony Foale and others have written about it you will gain an understanding of it.  To prevent the magnification of it you may want to address the issues posted above.

Hi Tonys. How do you know that HD is not planning to put ABS on  non Police  models in 2006? I'm just curious. How can anyone know this? Thank you for your reply.

Hopefully something like that would only mean that the cop bikes will be the low scale R&D for a year before everyone else is allowed to be safer......  HD loves us sooo much [smiley=brood.gif]

Yes... H.D. will use us (the police) as guinea pigs for their new ABS system this year...
