Harleydiva,

The un-happy passenger of J.J. will be happy after they are installed.

Thank you for the insite.

Warren...To my knowlege, the RH TD's are the only TD's that have the problem on the left side, but I've not really checked others for clearance.  One reason for the RH's is simply because the pipes are so "fat".  The heat shields are larger in diameter than most because of being stepped up in diameter as they go towards the mufflers.  That's why they look so good, IMO.

I've not had a problem with my passenger pegs even looking like they were going to break off.  When installing the pegs, it IS possible to break off the bolts if overtightened, so some of the problems could be from overtightening, then they later shear off.  Use blue loctite, snug them down well, and leave it alone.

I'll be happy to install them for you next time we're in Atlanta, which hopefully won't be too long.  Perhaps in early August.

Terry,
got the RH TD on with your spacers. Put harley black frame paint after primer. Are you passenger pegs still a little tight on left side? john

I know Terry (TC) has made custom extenders, but interestingly I found these:  http://www.pingelonline.com/pingel_floorboard_extenders.htm

Thanks Chief. It seems the only way to replace that black rubber piece is to remove the rear shift lever. That's how Kury did it also. I guess I'll just leave it rubber, altough it looks out of place between the 2 chrome pieces. Hoist! 8)

Geez...I can't believe someone made the EXACT same spacer for the rear.  Mine only take it out 5/8" though.  That's enough, IMO.

Terry, yours are 10X better.  They use a cheap hex bolt . . . . the allen head bolt you provide looks more OEM, plus we can powdercoat or paint yours black to match the footboard brackets . . . . not sure how either would hold up on "highly polished" aluminum. :nixweiss:
