Tour Pack luggage
« on: June 26, 2007, 02:09:44 PM »

Just thought I would post this for those looking for a luggage bag to fit our wierd racks. Was looking at an American Bagger magazine and noticed a small ad in the back for Road Ready Bags. They looked pretty cool so I called them
( Gene Troutman, owner ) and after speaking with him, I ordered a medium size and asked if he could ship it second  day delivery as we were leaving for Arkansas in 5 days. The bag arrived on Friday and he only charged me $5 dollars shipping on top of the $85 for the bag. I love it and it fits perfect. I use one of the saddle bag ice chests for drinks, so when my wife travels, we needed something else for clothes. This bag is waterproof, has four plug type straps so when you get it adjusted like you want, it takes about four seconds to remove. It also has some rings on top, so you could strap something else there if needed. The whole thing is nylon and weighs probably less than a pound. The web site is www.roadreadybags.com. I'll attatch a couple of pics.

Your web site has one too many "a's" in it.  I did check it out.....bag is now $90 if I looked at the right one.  I may give them a call.
thanks

Of all the bags I've seen, that one by far is the most practical.  I'm going to give them a call.  Thanks for the tip!!

Very close to what I have been looking for, and the price point is not bad, considering.

Waterproof is a plus.  Is it a stiff sided bag?

Just ordered...two day UPS...will be here Friday, total with shipping is 90 bucks.  Built from Codura Nylon on outside, nylon packcloth on inside.  Ensolite insulation so it will maintain shape full or empty.  13x18x10.  Polyurathane coating on all surfaces, so waterproof without a rain bonnet.

Just arranged a discount:  80 bucks for the back and 5 dollars shipping.  Bag lists for 89.95.  Tell the lady you heard this from Terry Crain on the CVO HD website.

Just when I said we were good, did not need to buy anything else, and then this pops up. I assume it would work for our kind of tourpak also, wouldn't it?

MsWe...you could get the next size larger for the large rack on ya'lls bike.  I'll be the nice lady will still give you the discount on the larger size.

MsWe...look here:  http://www.roadreadybags.com/products/touringluggage.html

Looks like the large bag on the king TP rack in the pick...

Being waterproof without having to line it or put something over it is HUGE!  And the price is very reasonable with a lifetime warranty.
