Decision was made prior to release.  I'm keeping what I have.  Not to thrilled with the paint.  It's OK.....but that's it.  I do like the King Tour Pak and the Tour Pak rack.  Wonder will these things have the same heat/leak challenges that the 07s have?

. . . .The CUSE3 has the hard tour pak that has been requested by many of us and they've even done a pretty good job of hiding the AMP so it doesn't look like a NASA umbilical cord draped along the side. . . . . . :pineapple:

apparently the stealth cable is such due to the absense of the amp. (spec's say only 40watts)  :(

Did anybody read that the navigation is not standard like the 07 was ?

Navigation and XM are still standard.

Me too Henry. I'm looking at 2012 or 2013. Do we have any scoop on what they'll be like yet? What is your inside guy saying? Mine is keeping pretty quiet on anything past 2010.

Jacques, it is indeed time to begin speculation on the 09 models.

I wonder if there will be a SERG in 09.  We should start rumors here, of course.   ;D

I'm sure there are a lot of people that are dissapointed without a Road Glide or Street Glide SE.  I'm hoping the colors will be better in person than on the net.  I remember when I first saw the Autmn Haze, it looked tan on the net, but actually was more of a champagne.  I'm glad HD finally came into the current technology with the ABS and the brembo brakes! :2vrolijk_21:  The jury is out on the tourpack, and will reserve judgement until I see it.  My overall impression is that the SE doesn't look much different than the stand Ultra Classic :nixweiss:

I like the abs and the 6 gal. tank, I'm not sure about the 110 with all the problems that seem to come with that motor, I like the 103.

For all the Road Glide lovers, I just got the word there is no new CVO Road Glide this year.  Darn!!  I was really hoping they would do it this year, my 2000 FLTRSEI has 120,000 miles on it now.

Here's my advice. Call Harley-Davidson credit and see what you can borrow against the bike. I'm gonna guess they'll loan you enough to take your tired old 00 SERG and make a rompin stompin new bike out of it. Start with a new swingarm and lower legs so the 1" axles wheels will fit. If you like your wheels, you can send them out and have then retrofitted to 1" axles. It really only involves changing spacers and bearings. Next, pull your tired old motor and complete electrical harness and buy a crate 103 or 110 and the correct new harness and EFI set-up to go with it. Upgrade your brakes to the 08 style which will fit with the new swingarm and lower legs you're gonna install  and - - - - - - - I think for 20K you can have everything you like about the new models with everything you love about your 00 and still own a bike they only made 750 or so of. So you've got a payment. If you went and bought an 08 you'd have a payment. Making payments isn't about having something brand new and perfect, it's about having what you want. Just watch Barrett-Jackson and you can see that. Hope nobody thinks every car sold there is to a cash buyer cause it just ain't so.

Anyway, that's my $0.02

Yes. Chrome, 9-spoke cast aluminum.

When are the first CVO Ultras supposed to be 'on the ground' at our local dealerships?

From examining the 2008 Tech Specs for the Touring models posted elsewhere, it seems like a major setback to the aftermarket.
New brakes (pads, rotors, lines, master cylinder), new top mount battery, ECM with throttle and cruise, new ECM location, new grips, new tank, new seat mounting, consoles, wheels (bearings for ABS).
The new aftermarket catalogs will be loaded with "except '08".  It's good marketing for HD.
