Cycle Connection  in Joplin is a MSRP dealer--only charges freight passed on from MOCO.  Plus he gives discount on any parts put on bike before delivery.   Good Dealer

I got my FLHRSE4 at MSRP plus freight and set up fees from Neidengrads HD of Wintersville, OH just west of Pittsburg.

They are Ohio's oldest family owned dealer, 100+ years, 3 generations. They always sell at MSRP on all bikes is what they claim.

:apple:  Just to let you know that I did get my 08 105th Anniversary Ultra  (# 63 of 1800) for MSRP.  Seems the lady owner of the dealership had set this one aside for her husband.  He decided he had an 07 so no reason to get an 08.  I called the dealership within 15 minutes of the bike being put on the floor.  When I inquired about the price, I was asked if I was prepared to buy it that day.  When I said "yes", I was given the MSRP price if I was at the dealership before closing that day.  I made it and wrote a check for the entire amount which included the extended warranty.  By the way, that was the second anniversary bike that the dealership had received im a six week period.

That's been discussed here in several threads.  Extended warranty are negotiable and can be bought at any dealership, regardles of where you bought the bike provided that the bike is still under factory warranty.  I negotiated with my local dealer to get 7 years and tires at 15% discount.  You might check some of the dealerships like Chicago HD where they offer a 20% discount.

I am late on this - is there anything you can do if you bike is OUT of warranty?  I do all my own wrenching on my other rolling stock - but the unknowns of the CVO thing have me concerned...  That and having to by a specific tool to accomplish a specific task get expensive quick - and a warranty may alleviate that.

Thanks

My bike is FINALLY on a trailer and headed my way (in Texas right now - then LA, MS and finally to NC!), Sat night/Sunday and I should have it.  This has been a frustrating experience...was over a month ago it was picked up.   >:(

msrp +freight and put together fee.   Bought from Annapolis HD, great folks to deal with.  The owner gives a chit about his customers and the sales  and service folks are always happy to see you.   At there old shop they had free hot dogs.  I miss those days.
my 07 se ultra just turned 12K with no problems.   Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.  I love my ride.

Because I was deployed to Iraq I was able to get the hometown dealership to match AAFES price at 1276 below MSRP.  Although I'm still waiting to pick it up and we'll see if they stay true to their word.  Of course I still have the dealership out the door price quotes in emails.

Guenther, welcome to CVOHarley and congratulations on your 1st post.  Have you gotten the bike yet?  You might want to go the New Member Introduction area and introduce yourself.

I payed about $300 under MSRP and was not charged freight or setup fees that some dealers like to charge.  That is why I ended up with the bike.

I paid $35,000 OTD so the actual price was below MSRP if you take in shipping, set-up taz, title, tags...

I paid $3 grand over list because my stealer said my anniversary USE3 would be the only one they were getting.  Since it was so exclusive, they couldn't just "give it away".
Last week I was in the stealership and guess what was on the floor.  Yep, a beautiful anniversary USE3 bike, just like mine!   :pepper:

MSRP + Tax, Title and License. Don't pay more. Spend it on phone calls finding a dealer that sells at that price (or less). There are too many dealers selling these MCs at MSRP no need to pay above that. My 08 SERK 105th Aniv model was $29290+495 for the 105th colors as advertised by HD itself.

It's great when you live next to a dealer who sells for MSRP.  But in my case, I moved away from such a dealer by hundreds of miles.  My choices for CVOs have been obvious.  You pay what the market will bear or travel a round trip of a thousand miles or more to save some money.  Then when you bring your bike to your local dealer for service or warranty issues, you get put in the back of the line.
Obviously I'm not happy to have been forced to pay a premium over MSRP, but I really had very little choice.  I don't think anyone who has paid a premium is happy about it.  But I'll bet that if people were honest you'd find a huge number of them who didn't get their bikes for MSRP.
With the economy slipping into a recession, or worse, there should be more bargains available as time goes on.

Got my 08 SERK (balck/silver) at msrp + ship and free first service at Brian's harley in Langhorn, PA (40 miles away) and 20% off for Reinhart, SE stage I A/c, SERT and labor.  My local dealer wanted $3k over.
Signed up with another dealer (Mill's Ahrley) last August and I was 3rd name on the list, still hasn't called me and I know they got at least 4 SERKs since then.
