My wife got a package today. I just happened  :nixweiss: to see it and took a peek. Yeah, I'm a bit nosey etc..   Well,  it sure smells, looks and feels like the Zumo GPS. Without destroying the box, I could only get a small peek, and not a good one at that! Rats! However, it's from a place that I was looking to buy the unit. O' I got the feeling..... :jalapeno: :apple:  My B-day is just around the corner in a couple of weeks. I'm going to be like a kid at Christmas.... Hopefully, it is and it'll be great to have it just before the Love Ride in LA., which is a place I get lost everytime I visit.

Update: a bit late, but here it is. I got the Zumo 550 and since the bike is still in the shop, I put it in the Bronco. Works great! But really needed the TOPO map for it to be worth much out in the woods. ( I like to hunt...)    So I got it today in the mail. Paid $60.09 which included the $6.99 shipping. Got it loaded on the laptop, but now I've got to hunt down a usb to serial cable. That's going to be about $50 bucks is what I'm seeing on the net.  The TOPO looks great so far. I'm going to load it on the Zumo 550 once my wife gets home with the it. She snatched it and put it in here car this morning to "test" it out...Yeah, right! The last time she did that was with my radar detector and I never got it back, had to buy a new one for the bike. Anyway, now I'm on a learning curve, but that's ok since I'm home recovering from surgery on the clutch hand... all good.

Not nearly that much.  Less than $10 (shipping inclusive) all over eBay.  One example (of many):

Super!! I'm all over that one. Thanks for the info..... I made the mistake at looking at the Garmin site. They had a good list of accessories....apparently very expensive too!  I'll be getting the less expensive one for sure.

Thought I had two or three spares and was just going to send you one.  Couldn't find any of the darned things though.  So had to point you toward the cheaper purchase alternatives.  Sorry 'bout that.

I appreciate the thought. You've given me the thought that I should check through my office drawers first. Heck I may have one hidden in there somewhere.
