Hey Chipster! :drink:

First, I would say patience! When you see the one for you, you will know it is right! I personally would love to have a RG in my stable and makes the most sense...to me! :huepfenlol2: You can get an 03 S/B for around $15,000 and do your engine, trans, and suspension work and still be able to take Nancy to the Bahama's a couple times. I saw this one on hdtrader.com when I was looking for SpecialEd.

LOL, JR!  "Patience" and "Chip" do not belong in the same post.  Unless, of course, you're saying "Chip does not have any patience." :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

One thing's for sure . . . . whatever he gets and whenever he gets it (soon, no doubt ;D), it will be a sweet ride . . . . and even better when he gets done with it!  I got a feeling this one is going to be interesting to watch! :2vrolijk_21:

Hell Howie,  I really want Chip to buy the 08, take it up to 56K and read him bitching the whole way.  You know he might even post as fast as you did which almost equaled 1 post for each 5k you spent on a bike that will still break down   :coolblue:

Don't worry about his bike. It was outrun easily by the Frontier at Myrtle Beach. He just wants a taste of your Road King so he can tell "someone or anyone" that  his 124 @ 147 H/P slug will run. Trust me, it will be no trouble for Cybil. But the whining afterwards will be funny so twist it so I can have another laugh!

PS
Talk to Magic to catch it on film!

PSS
If you feel bad about outrunning him, do like I did and put someone on your bike that weighs 40 lbs. more than you.
It worked for me but amazingly enough it didn't stop the whining.

See you there!

What'd I miss here? :nixweiss:

You guys tried to slip this by me! :o

Brian, I'm told that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones! ::)

By having many posts, my $/post must be substantially lower than yours. Mine doen't have enough miles on it to have broken as many times as yours yet. But that's not a competition I'm looking to enter. But a nice romp in MV could be in our future. Do you need that 40 lb. handicap, and is that 124 going to hold together long enough to play? I just hope mine does! :D

Yeap, the film on this could surely be interesting! ;)

Chip,

Just saw this post and wow, what a bunch of thoughts that must be running through your head!  That Ghost does look better sitting in front of your house than it did at the dealer tent, but..... It's definitely not you!  Sorry, got to call it as I see it.  We had a long discussion about the Road Glides and about how I have a hard time with the way the bike looks head on, but not many folks are going to see that side of it with you riding it anyway!  The general looks have always thrown me on the RG, but when you see what Spiderman did with LD, wow, that bike looks awesome.  Those pics of that bike put a lump in my throat and raised my heart rate!  An example of what can be done.  I truly think the best option for you is to do the RG with all the toys, just how you want it.  It is absolutely the most stable platform for what you want to accomplish.  Painted up right (or the SE in your colors) and it looks sweet (well, from almost every angle).  If you get the SE, just pull the motor and stick on the shelf if you're worried about the classic value.  Whatever you do with the bike, I know it will be right for you.  I know how that 08 SEUC has that new bike appeal and all of that MOCO mojo that makes us want to spend our money, but just step back and look at the options (like you have) and do the RG (it's what you REALLY want).  The Ghost looks pretty good, but one bike will move you to total obsession.  The Ghost isn't it!  Bottom line......Chip needs to be happy!

My bud, my pal,
If you think an extra 40 pounds will make it more even then how about a few more and I will twist the throttle in your memory a wee bit harder.
