Starvin,
Asking people about mufflers and exhaust is almost like asking them what is the best color for a bike? The sound and appearance is very subjective and everyone has their own opinion about which setup is best. Do yourself a favor and listen and look at others bikes until you formulate your own opinion before spending your money. Take it from me, I have spent a fortune on exhaust since I got my SEEG2 in late Oct. I started by replacing the stock muffs with SE 1 piece, then with SE 2 piece, then added the V&H true dual head pipes, and now have the Rineharts on. (and they didn't and shouldn't cost $800, I paid $589 delivered to my door) The only thing semi concrete about exhaust systems is how they perform, and if you are a HP junkie there are some guidelines you can find easily online about how each type (two into 1, true duals, slip ons, etc.) perform. As with anything else there are compromises to be made. One other consideration when choosing exhaust is what type of EFI management system you are going to use (Power Commander, Race Tuner, etc.). If you use a popular combination you can use an existing map, at least until you decide to have it dyno tuned. Since I went to the Rineharts, I was able to get a map for $49 that is much better than any of the other combos I was running (no decel popping,etc.). As for me, I would like to have an exhaust system that had the nice mellow sound that the 2 pc. SE muffs have when they are brand new, that perform like a 2 into 1 disc style exhaust system, has the looks of a nice true dual (conventional muff) system, and don't burn out and get louder. They don't make it, so I am still looking, but I am happier with the Rineharts than any of the others I tried so far.
