Brian, what a great looking motor.  I know you are ready to have it back on the road.  At least you're in the short rows now. It's gonna run great after all that you've been thru this winter and the things you've discovered and 'fixed'.   Hope to see ya in Daytona if you make it down there. :2vrolijk_21:  spyder

It really is looking good.  I am sure that you will have both bikes at Daytona.  Kathy doesn't want you sitting behind her.

For some reason I can't ride her bike comfortably :nixweiss:  When I do ride it I will put on my seat, and she will not ride on the back of that seat. Remember it is the stock 04 SEEG seat.

Ran Bessie yesterday. She didn't like to go into first gear for some reason. Bled the clutch and it made a huge difference. Think some of the reason for not going into gear is the shifter fork. Going to try a few things today and see if that takes care of the problem.

One way or another, 2 bikes will be going to Daytona :2vrolijk_21:

You can swing thru Charlotte and pick up the two 50cc scooters and take them.
If you can handle the power!

They are definitely more reliable than an Harley, especially a 110 :2vrolijk_21:

Hope you installed new baskets on them to pick up the pieces from all the Harleys down there. I said last year that I would get one to ride down the side of the interstate and pick up pieces and parts. Could make a fortune in the spare parts business :2vrolijk_21:

Last year one of our friends lost his....never fly of your head......hat. We rode up and down Int 4 for about an hour. You would not believe how many Harley related things were on the side of the road.

It never fails........this past winter Bessie had an extended stay in the hospital being cosmetically revived.

Powdercoated cylinders and heads

Diamond cut

Every race, bearing, seal, gasket, and I mean everything from the rear tire to the front was replaced.

Had a little trouble in Daytona shifting gears....problem....my nice fancy Screamin Eagle shifter wont clear the inner primary, so had to go back with a stock, non chrome shifter rod.....which is still there :coolblue:

Since Daytona there has been a small oil residue finding it's way around the rear jug and on the seams of the cases and transmission joint.

Told the mechanic about the problem and he said when they got slower he would take care of it...well after the little ride with the Howie's the other week it became a very large oil leak. Can't even go around the block without 1-2 teaspoons of oil showing up on the cases.

Dealer informs me that the mechanic who did the work, no longer works there. OH SH!T.....now what......he informs me that their other dealership will perform the work necessary and it will be covered by them.....thank you !!!!!!

The mechanic who put together Pete4854's bike will be working on mine.

Thank goodness we purchased the  :cherry: and haven't sold the FLHX

Brian..That bike is sharp!

But..if takes two Harley's to keep one running, and two of you are riders, aren't you a bike short?
