It's been about 20,000 miles since "Rosey" put them nuts on or about 1 1/2 years. If he did not torque correctly it would not have lasted this long! Heat and vibration is what I'm betting on. I would have to say your nuts are safe from "Rosey" but I would do self exam on all your nuts to see if there is any change what so ever. Early detection could save you a lot of pain down the road! :huepfenlol2:

Dr. JR  :bananarock:

Excellent advise Henry!!! :2vrolijk_21: Couple nuts in a sack is always a good thing! :bananarock:

I'm going to have to do this again...

It was a beautiful day in Memphis Town today. Got up at the crack of dawn to take a scoot into Arkansas to see how the colors are looking. Got about 100 miles away, Bald Knob AR, and notice a ticking noise and a popping noise upon deceleration. Made it a couple miles into town and pulled into gas station. Checked front header gasket and it was good. Looked at the rear and bingo...I lost my nuts!!! :'( :o :D :P :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: Lil suckers fell right off! I can remember hearing a ding...ding..noise about 10 miles before Bald Knob. Luckily there was a Napa right across the street (Thank ya Lord). 75 cents and 10 minutes later we be back on the rode and enjoyed a wonderful 450 mile backroad ride thru Arkansas. While I was at Napa I got a couple extra Nuts just in case I loose my Nuts again! Whatta bout you....ever have your Nuts fall off...and loose em???? :nixweiss: :huepfenjump3: :bananarock: :huepfenjump3: :bananarock: ;D  :2vrolijk_21:

Hey I was thinking of you and Tommy today. After I got the nuts on I reached into my saddlebag for some windex wipes and saw an empty container. Last time I used it was in HS and it was full. Wondered if one of my buddys was pulling a fast one on me when I had my back turned???? :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

A cold case of diarrhea. :huepfenlol2:

Sorry to hear about your nuts, JR. Glad to hear that you got everything back where they belong...it must've been skeery to lose your nuts like that!  :zroflmao:

My nuts haven't fallen off......yet.......as I tend to take very good care of my nuts.  Frequent exams prevent nut loss, but just in case, it is always a good idea to keep a couple nuts in a sack.  That way you know you have the right nuts.  Having the wrong nuts could be a bad thing, especially if you use the wrong thread pitch...........then your shaft would be stripped.........then things other than your nuts start falling off..........and if you think nut loss sucks, well...........yeah.............   :'( :'( :( :(

Where's the best place on the bike to pack your nut sack? :nixweiss: :o ;D

For me, I usually keep my nut sack in a compartment right above the engine. I try to keep it as close to me as possible. :2vrolijk_21:

The best thing to do would be to pack your nut sack securely wherever it will fit.  Depends on nut size.  What you don't want to do is allow your nut sack to hang loose.  If you do that, you'll likely damage your nuts and/or your nut sack and if you damage your nut sack, it is highly probable that you'd lose your nuts again.  Then you'd be a nutless bastage!   :huepfenjump3:

JR, does this mean you have roasted nuts when you get where you're going?
