Terry, thanks but yes I had the ACC switch on because I had the heated grips on.....which worked great.  Still no heated seat though.
We'll see whenever I get the chance to take it in to the dealer.

Did you get your seat checked out yet?  If so what did they find?

I had mine checked yesterday.  Since the shop manuals haven't been released yet (even to the dealers), they called the MotorCo and ran some electrical tests.  The first test was voltage at the harness plug which was 12v with the engine off and 13.8v with the engine running (exactly what you'd expect).  Second was a current check at the PTT fuse on the fuse block.  The spec is 1.5-3amps, front seat on high, mine read 1.88; the rear seat is .75-1.5amps on high, mine read 1.18.  So the MotorCo said "warranty denied"; when it gets too hot, turn it off.  They also said that it shouldn't get over 120 degrees.  Have you ever put your hand under the hot water in your sink?  Burns real quick doesn't it; mine's set at 122.  Oh well!

I had problems with the seat on my '06. Pillion heater barely worked on low setting, was painfully hot on high. Dealer checked it out, agreed that it was getting way too hot, MoCo replaced it without any issues. With waranty claims I sometimes wonder if MoCo saying no is just used as an excuse by the dealers.

Hypothetically speaking one might get short term access to a 24 or 48 volt battery system and prove the warranty failure.
