Lu,
Thanks for finding us.  I remember the original thread and thought about how unavoidable it was.  There is so much to look out for when on a bike but who would think such a catastrophe would strike while standing still.  Congratulations on your mending.  The worst is behind you.  Please keep us posted and we'll ALL be pulling for you.

HI,
The most wonderful thing was when I got hurt they flew me to Iowa city and the CMA chapter was there waiting for me to show up . My son was already there not knowing how bad I was hurt and they helped him know where to go and then when my family got there they showed them the way. I didn't know any of these people but they were just brothers and sisters of Christ and the common thread was CMA. They visited me almost everyday and prayed for me and did for me. It helped me every day to just have someone there when my family couldn't. I was over 2 hours from home.
I sincerely advise you to be a member of CMA if you enjoy the followship of other Christians. They will be there for you always. No strings attached. I had a sister call me Tuesday and she listened to me talk then prayed for me over the phone. It was just what I needed.
 Love um!
PEACE

Hello,
I am in CMA. I love the group and that is who I was riding with that day. There was 5 of us and I was in the middle. We had decided to take the long way home as it was so beautiful that day ( June 9th). I drive by the place we gassed up and decided to change the route on my way to therapy and wonder why God lead us to go home that way. I don't dwell on it by it does pass through my head.
I am in HOG and on the board and have held office in ABATE. All of the group came together and gave me a benefit to help with the bills. They are alot of my best friends and I just love em.
I hope to be back to work in Feb or March. This will help me too.
 Peace Lu

Lu,

Yep, I'm a CMA member also.  I was actually part of a group that started a new chapter in Shawnee, Oklahoma back in 2002.  We now have about 60 chapter members.  We too have an awesome bunch of people in our chapter.

Have you ever been to the Changing of the Colors Rally in October at Hatfield, Arkansas?

Later,

bluesgal

Just came across your postings. I pray all is going well. Also welcome to the site from just up the road away. I have family in Quincy. We'll have to hook up when I get down that way. Again, I pray all is going well. Keep positive on your beliefs and the outcome.

Hello all, I am getting around on my new walk... a great leg. It is a challenge some days but with friends and family I am getting my life back. Went back to work in 6 months and am getting more of my life back each day. I long to ride but I will wait for it to be right. Can't rush this new life. Thanks for all the great well wishes and prayers.
I am enjoying this life and look forward to what is over the next hill. Have a good ride for me and think of me when you ride.....
PEACE -LuAnn
