Welcome back Twolanerider, We missed you.
Wow, a letter from Harley Davidson. That is pretty cool. Yes, I got a call on Friday, and I hope I will get a call from the dealer soon. It has been awhile with no news from them. But no news is good news, they say. Who are "they" anyway? I will be so happy to put this episode of my life behind me.
I rode my bike for the fifth time since its initial service yesterday, which is a total of nine rides so far. It was really, really fun. I took an experienced riders course with a bunch of GoldWing riders. OMG, what an absolute "hoot." My bike looked like they could put it in one of their, oh so many, pockets on their bikes. Well I was not doing very well at first, one of the riders pointed out that I might need to sit closer to the tank when trying to make some of the tighter turns at less than 10 mph. Tried it, and it helped a lot. Something I cannot see when riding, but he could see while watching me was that I could have the handlebars turned as far as my arms could reach, but the bike still had a considerable bit more it could turn. I sit closer to the tank, and voila, the handlebars can turn more, and thus, I was better at maneuvering around the lot. I also where boots with big platforms and higher heels and one of the instructors pointed out that if I had a lower heel, not less platform, I could use my weight on the floorboards better and that would help too. I will try other boots out, I have them. At the end of the day, I got most improved rider award. Of course, one of the wing riders was very familiar with what my bike was all about, he told all them and then they were all impressed. It is not just a nice paint job, although it is a nice paint job. They were especially impressed with the fact that my husband gave me the bike as a present and had picked out most of the add ons and changes. Thanks Mr.WeCVO for the most wonderful anniversary present.
Talk again soon, I am sure. [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]
