Rumor had it, that after much research....HD is coming out with a chromed griddle attachment that can be mounted on the rear jug of the 110's and provide a much needed hot breakfast after only 10 miles?

Would you like that griddle chrome or painted?

Wow, I missed this whole thread!  Chit!  You people are fun.  Makes the winter pass as I look outside at the snow.
I've never met a new dealer / service person admit the problem (s) unless you let thenm know that you have one and have the problems.  Then they open up.

These dealers and personnel have been together at the HD sales meetings at least three times since all these issues appeared.  You mean to tell me that if you put all these people together and free alcohol , that the issue hasn't been passed around?  I know the SM at my dealer went to an offsite for all the sMs in the east last August and it was discussed at length.

He was hitting all of the new member intros at once and gave me 2 pages of "New Replies"  to clear out.

I guess they better find a newer newbie to flame....... (oh yeah, that's against the CVO terms and conditions)

Yes, Wayne does that, to catch up welcoming the Newbies.

That's when you read around all the VAZHOG posts, and after you've read the others, you hit the "Mark All Messages As Read" button! :o :D :D :D ;)

When you're sick of trying to keep up with reading my posts, you should try it sometime! ::) :P ;D

I have read page after page about the 110 problems and I believe everything I hear, after all what would be the motive to fabricate stories. What I haven't heard from anyone, is a description of their riding style. I realize that these bikes were built for power. I just wonder if riding style plays some part in the problems experienced by so many. After all drag bikes require much more maintenance because the engines are always pushed to the limit. One who constantly pushes their bike to 4, 5, or 6 thousand RPM's will likely have more problems than one who shifts at 3 to 35oo rpm's. Even if we expect the motor should have been built to take it. By the mods I see some of you have done to increase performance it makes sense to me that you either twist the wick right often or you just like throwing money away. One of the mechanics at the dealer (when I first picked up my bike) said I should run it like I stole it or something to that effect and not worry about babying it for the 1st thousand miles. That was scary because he obviously knew nothing about the real effects of that kind of behavior. I bought my bike for the highway power it should have and the prestige that goes with it. I hope I never experience the problems you all have but I will keep you informed. I plan to be on the road for a couple of months this summer and don't want to see any dealers cept for the routine stuff. :coolblue: :coolblue:

This is tongue in cheek -- - - - - right ?   You don't really think all of us on this site are such a bunch of greenhorns that we need a sermon like the above. I mean nobody could be so self righteous or maybe dense as to have spent any time reading the thousands of threads and posts on this website and make the post above unless they were yanking our chains.

Prestige?  That means you bought it based on what other people will think.  Screw that.  I got mine because I like it.  Piss on the rest of ya.  97% of the folks here (the 97% I like by the way) would say piss on me for the same reason.
