It's understandable I'm sure you're busy while working on the bike. Suggestion..... Why not take a few pictures before you start and a few after you finish each day and not worry about details of what you're doing as you're doing it. This will at least give us an idea of where it started, and what got completed that day. This could be a learning experience for some (me) that have never seen the phases of putting the bike back together in real life.

Yes. Did it last evening. Picked up some wrinkle black touch-up paint, that stayed glossy black, and touched it up today.

Good deal.  Glad you decided to use it and glad there was plenty of meat to make it work.

I removed exactly one smidge. That was all it took.

Sometimes a smidge is all it takes.  If it could be done without it being a major effort to do so those Velva stabilizers really are worth using.  I think you'll appreciate having done it in the long run.

OK, I've got a lot of catching up to do, so here goes.

Earlier this week, I got the engine and tranny in. Once that was in, the harness was put on and then I began roughing-in the fairing electrical.

Here's the front stabilizer which required relieving some material from the engine case. I painted the raw metal with HD's engine touch-up paint which is supposed to be wrinkle black. It's black allright, but someone forgot to put the wrinkles in.

Here's one of those little 'extras'. I took the battery box to the local Line-X dealer and had them shoot the bottom of the box. I had put a piece of neoprene sheet under the battery before, but enough grit got under the battery to gring all of the way through the powder coat to expose bare metal.

I don't think that will be happening here this time. :2vrolijk_21:

Cost.... $10.

Here's the ECM hung and part of the harness. The Power Commander isn't mounted yet, but it will be coming later.
