Here's an 02 just found listed on eBay.  One of it's pictures makes it a Delphi bike.

The gas tank has 1 fuel line

Which means it's Delphi!

I had another responce written and then went looking for answers, here is what I found.....


In 2002 these models are listed with MM ...

My 02 has a Delphi......the tank has 2 connections for the M&M. The wiring harness is for the Delphi.

Was told that an 02 could be either one. Don't look at a picture of the tank to decide which TB the bike has

curious brian, the marelli has two lines that are smaler than the single delphi, so how do they connect a smaller line to the delphi fuel rail? and what do they do to terminate the second line ? and the delphi uses a on/off fuel pump switch, whereas the marelli uses a constant on return. ?

not arguing, just learning. after all my granny said we are never too old!!

Even if we assume that fitting adaptors were out there for the different size hoses we could still make one judgement from a single line picture.  Making the assumption of such adaptors (actually Pingel may have something like that) a two line tank could be either Marelli or Delphi.  A single line tank as in that group of pictures would only be Delphi though.

If I ever get the tank back from the painters I will get a pic of the hook up.

had to add this...the fuel line that was on the 02 will not fit on my 04 tank, but will fit on the TB

Was talking to Scooter over the weekend comparing 2000 Road Glides to the 2001.  Less extrame examples but he pointed a small number of supposedly 2000 specific items that got used up at the beginning of the 01 production run.  It was shift linkages and the like. Who knows what goes unnoticed passing from year to year.  Major systems like that that are actually a bit cobbled together to make them work still make you scratch your head and wonder though.

Well I guess as I said earlier my best option will be 03 and up!
And that above is exactly why I started this thread so I could learn what operating systems were in what year bikes!

not to beat this to death but here's an easy question,

Naitram, on your 02 SERK is the ecm M&M or Delphi?

And another

Hubbards 02 Ultra Classic is Delphi for sure.

What is on a 02 Road Glide and newer is why I asked the questions to start with about what type of ECM?

   I would however tell you to take a look at the oem calibrations file it will show you maps from say 01-05 then you will find others here are some examples from the latest configuration file.   I will also attach it for you take a look at.

As far as SERTS go you should be able to put a new one on your bike and use it to program a delphi otherwise if you have an M&M you have to buy the M&M version.   

I dont have my bike (FLHRSE4) yet, it's due in this month, and I have no prior experience with SERT's.
I downloaded the "oem calibrations file" trying to learn and understand . . . .  A lot of the info I've been reading is over my head at this point.
Are these the canned maps that come with the SERT?  If so, is #104 or #105 the correct map to use with Rinehart TD's and a K&N A/C?
I'm trying to avoid dyno-tune until after bike is broke in
