Be careful Ken,  those things have also been know to throw off a little oil now and again.  I would hate to see it leak down on one of your visitors after they rang it a few times.:D   You may want to take it down the next time Howie comes to visit as you know how well he and the 110 get along.....

It's still got 2 months warranty in case it does spit a little!  ;D

Ken,

You may want to call Jim's they advertise or used to anyhow that the motor would produce 125hp and 121 tq to rear wheel.  please see their advertisement.

Hey Harry..Ltns

I'm the first to admit I was hoping for better numbers from this engine. Whenever Henry had this same guy run his bike, he came up about 8-10 HP and TQ less that his tuner had come up with. Maybe all dynos aren't set up the same? Maybe Jims isn't talking about rear wheel HP? How could they? Everybody's loss to the rear wheel would be different. Maybe this guy didn't tune for optimum HP and TQ? I'll probably still have John Golden re-tune it. Either way, I'm satisfied with the numbers. I was satisfied with the numbers the 110 put out. What I wasn't happy with was it being in the shop and tore apart all the time. I could chase the HP and TQ numbers by throwing more and more money at it. But I won't. The V-Rod would still beat it bone ass stock. I'm happy with it.

That's awesome, Ken.  Really looks great.  I got the idea from Scooter when I was visiting with him and Hobo last summer.  I thought it was a great use for a useless product.  My old cover kept cracking the HD-0800 center, so I took it off and ran an Air Wing billet cover for awhile.  I've recently upgraded to a BHAF, and the only H-D cover that would fit it was the Nostalgia cover.  I'm quite pleased with that arrangement..........and I have a really awesome looking doorbell cover.   :2vrolijk_21:

I have a doorbell just like you...NOW..if I could just get my bike as clean as your's, or grill steaks like you...One step at a time!  ;D

Ken,

Dyno's can vary depending on software version, type of dyno etc etc.   The dyno sheet they Jim's put up reflects rear wheel numbers.   I would have John Golden dyno tune it.  Depending on your pipe though you may or may not be able to get both cylinders tuned independently and this is important.  I forget which pipe and which throttlebody you have, but these can also affect your numbers as well.   I know a few people with the 120 that use D&D Performance Baffle, and 54mm Zippers as was suggested by Jim's at the time.   Those people were seeing numbers a in the 120's as Jim's suggests in their dyno and these were done on DynoJet 250i dynos.   Ken if you are in the end happy with it, great, you asked if it was good or bad I just made the suggestion to check with Jim's because you may be leaving quite a bit of power on the table again depending on your total config.

The power is hard to get away from once you have it on the bagger :)   Ride a stock one and you will feel like your on a moped.

Harry

Where does it say on the Jim's website that the numbers are rear wheel?
Or are you just assuming that?
Good info is hard to find, I just don't believe those numbers are from the rear wheel just because you say it.
Do you have a source or do you just want the numbers to be rear wheel numbers?
You may get pissed at my question but the truth is all I seek.
I know that most manufacturers show crank numbers because they are higher and after all they are trying to sell a product!

Maybe i'm not happy. I asked the dealer about the stock throttle body before we installed this engine. He claims it's big enough, and all I need. I also was under the impression it was 54 mm. Evidently I was wrong. Here's a copy of the email I got back from Jim's. :

Hello Ken,

Thank you for your support of JIMS. Yes, you will want to run something a little bigger to get that motor running at its full potential. Go with a 54mm-55mm unit, all the big players in the industry offer something in that range (Zippers, HP Inc, etc). A free flowing air cleaner in general is recommended (a "cone style" usually flows best). If your filter has the cone exposed, I would stick with that one. After that, make sure you have some good flowing 2 into 1 pipes, and you have the air system completed. Please feel free to respond to this if you need any more recommendations. Again, thank you for your support of JIMS.

With that said Harry, I think you're right. hoist been telling me the same thing. I need to change throttle bodies I think. I'm basically happy with the bike, but, it still feels like it's smothered or something. Like,,it wants to do more. I'll keep you guys posted what's happening. Re-Tune again it looks like!

Thanks Harry.

So I guess that means the questions is,

What size is the stock t/b on an 07 SEUC?

BMFTB, Thats what I need...

I cain't believe they stuck that puny TB back on a 120' motor, I would happen to gon-cu-late it to a 62 at least...
That'll let it fatten to 14-13.7 afr....

You know there's always a room here whenever you're read and 10 minutes from Golden's dyno.  Next time I won't even drag you to the old Spaghetti place.  Does JD know about the trailer yet ??? ?
