Before starting this thread. I had considered the relevant value of the information contrasted with the possibility it was not true.  I decided to let it fly with the appropriate disclaimer.  Seems like that was the right thing to do given all the fun we've had discussing it.  I broke the news last year on the 6 gallon tank and think my source is every bit as reliable.  Time will tell.

Re Rjob's question for a SERG gtg anywhere!!!

I would think the post I made about Bayside Harley having the RoadGlide SE for 2009 on their shipping sheet would be some verification to your post too. I also listed the dealerships phone, email and fax number as well as the name of the sales manager too.(Page 4 this thread reply #53)
That info had nothing to do with any babysitter or lawn care guy that was a friend of a friend etc. :nixweiss: :huepfenlol2:

I figure if I get an '00 before July I'm safe.

Here is the original sales brochure for the 2000 SERG to wet your appetite.  Doc

I've had one for a long time Doc.  But also just scored the second on eBay.  Figured I'd put them in a frame one front out and one back out (unless AJ quits dicking around and earns one).

I just scanned and printed it on heavyweight matte photo paper for a bar copy and it came out pretty decent. When you posted the article from The Enthusiast on the 2000 SERG I printed it this way and it turned out great in spite of the low resolution allowed by this site, and thanks again for that post. If anyone wants a high resolution copy of this sales brochure I can e-mail it. I'm looking forward to seeing the new one soon.  Doc

I remember that Enthusiast article but don't get the credit for it.  103 put that up shortly after he'd scored his orange and black SERG.

While I'm thinking of it; what was your impression of the 95 in the SERG pulling your new trailer back and forth to Sedona?  The SEEG has been upgraded just a little and it could care less if the trailer is behind it.

After missing Sedona for the shelled transmission in the SEEG I decided to go ahead and make the SEEG and the SERG functionally interchangeable.  That hadn't really been the plan to begin with as I'd anticipated the SERG being more a local or weekender and the SEEG still being the travel bike.  The lost trip illustrated the shortsighted nature of that choice.

Now the SERG is pretty well road worthy and tweaked to me for anything.  Windshield, seat, bars adjusted,  etc etc etc.  Showas are off the rear (thanks again Chip) though the front suspension is yet undone.  That and a hitch are about all that's left to complete the interchangeability of the two.  So have begun wondering how the 95" pulls the trailer?

It's funny you say that .... I told Anne that if a really pretty 2009 SERG comes out i would trade the SED so that we have two bikes for longer distance 2-up riding.

Love the Deuce, believe me, but admit that I could do without...it just handles so much fifferent with that skinny front tire I am finding it hard to get comfortable in the curves...maybe I should try to ride it more and that feeling will go away...a long trip somewhere on or maybe Laconia in a few weeks.

Anyway you could get a copy and post if of that "shipping sheet"?  Everyone I talk to has their Phase 1 order sheet for '09 but none of them have any new models listed.  What is listed on their Phase 1 order sheets is what they have ordered so far and since the new models are not announced yet obviously they have not been ordered yet.   So just curious to see what this sheet you are referencing looks like.
