Likely not a snowball's chance in hell.  But if the oranges were the same there will now be a paint-to-mach inner fairing available for the first generation orange and black SERGs.

I showed my post above with the 2009/2000 comparo to my wife and said, "Honey, there's the new SERG on top and mine on the bottom, whaddaya think?!"  She said, "The new one doesn't have a bird, does it?"

No doubt it will be a metallic orange on the '09, whereas the '00 is a solid, but I think you'd have to go vivid black on the '00, anyway.

Precisely !  It's got a pencil drawing; that's all.  Someone needs to give these new SERGs the bird.

Well I am really liking the Orange RG. It just "does it" for me. Having said that there is now way i can get one so I will just have to keep on loving my SEEG

That was my wife's initial impression too. Also no back rests, docking hardware, tourpack, decent windshield and on and on. I can't believe what a good value the 00 and 01's were and still are. I'd skip this mess and wait for the water cooled model which will be along soon enough.

That surprises me with you Jim.  As much attention to precision and detail you practice and enjoy in what you do and what you've displayed I'd have guessed that the several areas on the new SERG that look less than nicely finished would just bug the hell out of you.

They look to be intended to be a mate to the saddlebag latches (which from the photos I'm not real taken with).  But from what the photos make the look like I like the new mirror.

I agree. For that kind of money I'd expect a chopped tourpack, rear crash bars, lower fairings, rider back rest, and the rest of the stuff that SHOULD be on there.
