It had to start sometime......  :nixweiss: :huepfenlol2:

SEUC4 has to end that model series.  Anyone else think the new trike gets a first year to get its legs underneath it and then gets CVO'd next year to get it past the sophomore jinx with the CVO buzz?

Don,

As much as I love the SEUC's, and God knows I do, I agree that the SEUC4 should be the last model, at least for a few years.  The MoCo needs to give it a rest.  Having said that, however, I don't think it will be the end of the SEUCs simply on the basis of economics.  It's the most popular selling model of the CVOs, and as long as they can keep pushing them out the door and not sitting on the showroom floor long, they'll keep making them.  To me, it kind of ruins the "exclusivity" of knowing that your model is/was only going to run for two years, take a hiatus, and come back maybe 4-6 years down the line.  But the MoCo's going, IMO, run the SEUC into the ground until it loses it's popularity.

Thanks. Reading board through Yuengling goggles.  :drink:

If that lower exhaust is a curb hitting, mc jack obstacle of questionable design, it would not surprise me to see something like that in an HD parts book.

After all we buy chit from Kury & Godknowswhereelse to correct deficiencies on these 2 wheel wonders of modern ancient semi-science.  Maybe this time they will offer their own solution - like the ISO sprocket deal for 07 bikes which STILL is a real pizzer.

2010 Model lineup changes:
1) The Fatbob goes away
2) The FLHXN is introduced. (The newest  and only touring model member of the MoCo "Dark Custom" category with a flat black street glide (ala fxdb paint) coupled with a blacked out powerplant and new black chrome finish everywhere else
3) The VRSCDH is introduced in winter 2010 (This 'Hauling' based vrod  will be outfitted with a fairing and saddlebags, this also warms up the customer base for what is coming in 2013 with all harley's being liquid cooled due to the EPA)
4) A specially numbered (1-1990 units) 20th Anniversary FLSTF is produced. It will include stock cruise control, engine gaurd, and fog lights from the factory. Paint will be an OEM reproduction selected from the original 1990 lineup.
5) The reason the MoCo didn't bring the XR to the states is finally revealed when the cover is lifted off the new lineup of liquid cooled sportsters utilizing an fxr frame with increased rigidity to handle the new engine. (see #3; 2011 will be the dyna's, 2012 will be the softails, and 2013 will be the touring models for liquid cooling to celebrate the 110th)
6)

CVO lineup for 2010:
1) Heritage (long overdue and also allows harley to appeal to the woman riders (due to the deluxesque seat height))
2) Road Glide: FLTRSE4 (yeah they'll finally get it right and include the tourpack, no lowers though till the lineup goes liquid cooled in 2013)
3) Tri Glide: FLHTCUTG (The newest highest price harley... the start of a 4 year consecutive run through 2014)
4) Street Bob: the first dark custom cvo model is unleashed with black powdercoat everywhere (includes the MoCo' 2nd attempt at a steering damper from the factory, 1st is on this years TG)

Texas Beer.  I was introduced to Shiner Bock about ten years ago in San Antonio.  I highly recommend it with Mexican food. :drink:  Yum. :2vrolijk_21:

Last night was a good night for beer!   I have similar experiences with Shiner Bock.  In my wasted youth we drank it since it was cheap & later on cuz we liked it.  I still like it.  Good beer.  :drink:

Usually only drink a couple or so now, but once in a while.......

In my misspent youth, had a history prof in college - lib egghead knowitall flapperjaw can't do it so teach it doofus - who told us "dumb" country bumpkins that our Shiner was created down by a horse trough.  (horse pizz)  After that - since we considered the guy a REAL moron - we drank Shiner mostly & made sure he knew it.

Have gone by the Spoetzl  brewery for samples in the afternoon - years ago.  Need to make a trip that direction sometime....

Small town college Texas & most of us lived in the country - had never been anywhere much.  But we knew this guy was FOS.  Later on in college was surprised how many of those profs were FOS & had no idea there were FOS.

Later on I trained guys out of college for a company & was not surprised at how FOS they were, considering.

I met a guy from Texas. He grew up out in the country. That guy was FOS. I met more Texans that had grown up in the country. I was surprised how many of those rural Texans were FOS. They had no idea how FOS they were.

How many of those guys that you taught after they got out of college thought you were FOS?

BTW, if you can read this, thank a teacher. If you make a good living, thank a teacher.

My dealer told me today that HD is cutting production at KC plant (sportster, dyna vrod) from 270,000 bikes last year to under 200,000 for 2010.  They are having a 14 week shutdown in KC.  Something about making bikes scarce and pushing up used prices.  He also said they aren't getting any 2010 bikes for at least another month, and then they're only getting 19 new bikes for the first couple of months.    Not sure what to think.

My dealer got the news Friday - minimal bikes - Sportsters and v-rods cut - dealers being shut down, but this one seems comfortable that they will not be cut.
